Name: Kakashi Hatake
Age: 30
Rank: Jounin (ex-ANBU captain)
Village: Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village)
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11" (181 cm)
Weight: 148.8 lbs (67.5 kg)
Love Interest: Kanetsu Hyuga
Clan: None (as far as we know, but there could be a Hatake clan...)
Clan's Kekkei Genkai: None, but Kakashi and his father can use the White Light Chakra Sabre that glows white when swung by a Hatake.
Total Chakra Points: 100
Character's Jutsu:
Chidori (千鳥; Literally meaning "One Thousand Birds")
This jutsu channels a large amount of lightning-chakra to the user's hand. The high concentration of electricity produces a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping, hence the name. Once the technique is completed, the user charges forward and thrusts the Chidori into the target. This produces heavy amounts of damage that is usually fatal to humans. This technique is classified as an assassination technique because of the speed at which it is performed, despite the loud noise it produces. This jutsu has a major drawback, however. The speed at which the attack must be done, combined with the fact that the user must run in a straight line, causes a tunnel vision-like effect for the user. This allows the enemy to easily counter the attack, making it a potentially lethal move for the user. Though this drawback would seem to make learning the technique fairly pointless, Sasuke and Kakashi are able to avoid the drawback because of their Sharingan eyes, which take in every detail regardless of how fast the user is moving.
As an additional drawback, the large amount of chakra required limits its use to a few times a day. In Part I Sasuke can only use it twice a day (under his own power) and Kakashi can use it four times, though their limits have been shown to have increased to an unspecified level in Part II. Should the user attempt to go beyond their limit, all of their chakra will be drained and their very life force could go along with it, killing them.
An additional problem, though not necessarily a debilitating one, is the fact that the large amount of chakra can also injure the user's hand if they put too much force into the attack. Sasuke does this while battling his brother, Itachi Uchiha, causing some of the skin to peel from his hand and leaving it slightly smoldering after the attack was finished.
Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique (魔幻・奈烙見の術, Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu; English "Demonic Illusion: Death Mirage Jutsu")
This jutsu causes the target to see a horrifying vision. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. When used on Sakura, she sees a vision of a dying and mutilated Sasuke, causing her to scream and faint.
Earth Release: Earth Flow Divide (土遁・土流割, Doton: Doryūkatsu)
By flowing one's chakra into the Dragon Veins (龍脈, Ryūmyaku) flowing underground, one can tear the earth apart, creating large chasms. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defenses, and even to attack.
Earth Release: Earth Style Wall (土遁・土流壁, Doton: Doryūheki; English TV "Earth Style: Mud Wall Jutsu")
This jutsu creates a protective wall of earth. When used by the Third Hokage he spits mud from his mouth that solidifies into a shield against attacks. When used by Kakashi he creates a wall composed of dog sculptures to box-in Pain.
Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique (土遁・心中斬首の術, Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu; Viz "Earth Style: Groundhog Technique Decapitation", English TV "Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu")
The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.
Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique (土遁・土中映魚の術, Doton: Dochū Eigyo no Jutsu; English "Underground Reflecting Fist Jutsu", English TV "Earth Style: Underground Move Jutsu"; Naruto: Path of the Ninja "Earth Style: Earth Swim Jutsu")
Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him.
Eight Gates (八門, Hachimon; English TV "The Eight Inner Gates")
The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person's Chakra Pathway System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By opening these gates, the user can surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own bodies.
Rock Lee is able to open the first five gates. Guy, who taught Lee the skill, is able to open at least six. Kakashi can open at least one gate, as shown during Kakashi's one-handed rock climbing where a shot of his brain shows the relevant point activating, as well as in his usage of the Front Lotus.
The state of having all Eight Gates open is known as Eight Gates Released Formation (八門遁甲の陣, Hachimon Tonko no Jin). Any shinobi who activates this state will temporarily gain powers greater than a Kage, but they will die because of the damage done to their body. However, in Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds, Shinnō managed to use a technique that allowed him to open all the gates without any drawbacks.
Evil Sealing Method (封邪法印, Fūja Hōin; English TV "Curse Sealing")
This jutsu is used to suppress jutsu-induced marks on a person. Marks of weaker power can be completely suppressed by this jutsu alone, but for marks of higher power like Sasuke Uchiha's Cursed Seal of Heaven, this seal is dependent on the recipient's willpower to some extent. It is also capable of holding back certain kekkei genkai, such as that of the Kurama clan as seen when Kurenai tried to do this. This seal requires a number of hand seals and a large amount of chakra to be performed.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique (火遁・豪火球の術, Katon: Gōkakyu no Jutsu; English TV "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu")
After performing the necessary hand seals, a ninja inhales air via their mouth and, utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally (as evidenced by Kakashi Hatake's ability to use the jutsu without burning his mask).
According to Kakashi Hatake (in the anime Part II), the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique was originaly created by the Uchiha clan, becoming one of their favorite moves with which they became very adept with. The Uchiha clan also uses the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique as a "coming of age" technique. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most Genin should not be able to do this technique.
Front Lotus (表蓮華, Omote Renge; Viz "Initial Lotus", English TV "Primary Lotus")
Front Lotus requires the opening of the first of the Eight Chakra Gates, giving the user five times their normal strength. The user launches the opponent into the air and then uses Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Now behind his opponent, the user restrains them and pildrives them into the ground headfirst. Because it uses one of the chakra gates, the user is left extremely fatigued, making this jutsu a "double-edged sword." Kakashi has been shown to be able to use this technique, but to a much lesser degree than Guy and Lee.
Hidden Mist Technique (霧隠れの術, Kirigakure no Jutsu; Viz "Kirigakure Jutsu"", English TV "Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu"; Meaning (Viz) "Art of Hiding in the Mist")
This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a mist so thick that even they can't see through it.
Kamui (神威; Literally meaning "Might of the Gods")
By focusing his Mangekyo Sharingan on a particular point, Kakashi can force that point to collapse in on itself, ultimately sending everything in the vicinity to another time-space. Kamui costs a large amount of chakra to perform, especially in Kakashi's case, as his body has not completely adjusted to the Sharingan. Kakashi can only manage to use this technique up to three times in a given day, even when starting at full strength. When first seen, Kakashi's aim was imperfect, with it taking two attempts to hit Deidara with the technique. By the time of Pain's attack on Konoha, however, his aim had improved, being able to focus more accurately on fast-moving objects. The chakra used by this technique is proportional to the mass of the target.
Lightning Blade (雷切, Raikiri; Literally meaning "Lightning Cutter")
The Lightning Blade is an enhanced form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks, but more concentrated. It is said to have gained its name after Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Blade requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Blade is more focused and blue. In Part I he is limited to using it four times a day, but by Part II he can use it at least six times.
Kakashi has shown different ways of forming and using the Lightning Blade. During his confrontation with Orochimaru in Part I, he creates it without using hand seals. In Part II he is able to form a Lightning Blade in both of his hands to counteract Lightning Release: False Darkness.
Lightning Hound (Unnamed)
By manipulating lightning chakra into the dominant hand, the user can make the lightning expand to can create the form of a hound. The hound-shape remains connected to the user's hand with a bolt of lightning, allowing them to control it during its attack. Being a Lightning Release ninjutsu, it requires a large amount of chakra from the user to maintain and thus is a risk to use with a low chakra supply.
Lightning Release Shadow Clone (雷遁影分身, Raiton Kage Bunshin)
This technique allows the user to make a shadow clone infused with lightning. Because it is a shadow clone, it is able to perform jutsu and interact with the environment due to it having physical substance. If the clone is injured, it will revert to its natural lightning-state, at the same time electrocuting whatever it is touching.
Multiple Shadow Clone Technique (多重影分身の術, Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; Viz "Multiple Shadow Dopplegangers Technique", English TV "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu")
This jutsu is basically a massive version of the Shadow Clone Technique. Instead of a few clones, it creates a few hundred clones (or a number of equal grandeur). This is considered a forbidden jutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the person performing it, seeing as how all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra directly from the user. Naruto learned the technique from the scroll of forbidden seals written by the First Hokage.
Few people are able to use this technique effectively, due to the large amount of chakra it consumes. However, this weakness is not an issue to Naruto, due to his massive chakra reserves. Having such reserves allows him to create hundreds of clones while maintaining a decent supply of chakra in each one. This technique is also used by Naruto to train quickly, since all the clones share their experiences with Naruto, but it causes extreme fatigue with repeated use. Naruto does not appear to distinguish between the Multiple and regular variations of the technique, and often simply says "Shadow Clone Technique" regardless of how many clones he uses.
One Thousand Years of Death (千年殺し, Sennen Goroshi)
A very simple technique with an over-dramatic name, One Thousand Years of Death is little more than inserting one's index and middle fingers (similar to the Tiger hand seal) into the opponent's rectum, causing constipation, pain and/or embarrassment. It has no effect on unconscious targets. Characters that see the jutsu react oddly (Temari blushes, Pakkun questions if it's really a jutsu, and Gamakichi shows a look of disappointment), while those who have used or experienced the jutsu show great fear in it being used on them.
While seemingly useless, the technique can be useful if used correctly. During the first bell test, Kakashi was able to throw Naruto a great distance, probably propelling him with chakra. Naruto would later find out that the point behind the technique was to target the opponents blind spot, and when one substitutes their fingers for a kunai with an exploding tag, it can be a lethal technique. The aforementioned variant has only been used by Naruto.
Rasengan (螺旋丸; Literally meaning "Spiraling Sphere")
The Rasengan doesn't require any hand seals to use, relying only on the chakra control of the user. Once it's complete it becomes self-sustaining, which does not give Rasengan a definite limit like its counterpart, the Chidori. The compacted nature and moving speed of the chakra allows the Rasengan to grind into whatever it comes in contact with, inflicting major damage. This also tends to launch the target backward once hit. In an anime filler arc, Naruto was able to perform this jutsu as a mid-range projectile technique by somehow throwing it into a wall.
The Rasengan was designed to use the caster's elemental affinities. Minato was unable to add his affinities to his Rasengan before he died. Kakashi tried to add his lightning element to the Rasengan, but was unable to and explains that he uses the Chidori and Lightning Blade instead, which requires a certain point of shape manipulation and nature manipulation itself. Naruto was the first to add his wind affinity to his Rasengan and even advanced it to the point that he was able to create the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken.
Shadow Clone Technique (影分身の術, Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; Viz "Art of the Shadow Doppleganger", English TV "Shadow Clone Jutsu", UK DVD "Art of Shadow Body Splitting")
Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.
Unlike other clone techniques, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person. In the anime, Sasuke Uchiha claims that the Sharingan can distinguish clones from the original however various events throughout the series seem to indicate that this is not the case.
Shadow of the Dancing Leaf (影舞葉, Kage Buyō; Viz "Leaf Shadow Dance", English TV "Dancing Leaf Shadow")
The Shadow of the Dancing Leaf is used to position a ninja's opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. The ninja will first quickly appear below their opponent, then with a swift upper kick they will launch their target into the air. The ninja will then jump into the air to "shadow" the target with the target's back to their chest. Since this is the opponent's blind spot, it can be used as a set up to a number of jutsu. Rock Lee uses it in preparation for the Front Lotus. Sasuke, after copying it from Lee, uses it for his Lion Combo, but because he lacks Lee's training it puts some strain on his body.
Silent Homicide Technique (無声殺人術, Sairento Kiringu; English TV "Silent Killing Technique")
As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Zabuza was a master of this technique, and was even good enough to track and kill opponents through sound alone.
The Hidden Mist Technique was used by Zabuza in conjunction with this technique.
Summoning Technique: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique (口寄せ・土遁・追牙の術, Kuchiyose: Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu; English TV "Summoning Earth Style: Fanged Pursuit Jutsu")
This jutsu allows Kakashi to summon his own personal Ninken to perform special tasks. After he marks an opponent with his blood, Kakashi rolls out a scroll and smears his blood across it. Afterwards he places it between his hands and makes the seals before he slams the scroll into the ground. The Ninken are summoned there and travel through the ground following the scent of the blood. When the target is found, they erupt from the ground and hold down the opponent with their mouths. Kakashi uses this to immobilize an opponent for his Lightning Blade.
Water Clone Technique (水分身の術, Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu; English TV "Water Clone Jutsu")
The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body. Additionally, water clones only have one-tenth of the original person's power, as stated by Haku. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.
Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique (水遁・大瀑布の術, Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu; English TV "Water Style: Water Vortex Jutsu")
Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique is a technique that forms a strong column of water to attack an opponent. Due to the force of the water, the target will be fully enveloped and at the mercy of the current as they are pulled away. Kakashi Hatake hypnotized Zabuza Momochi to use this jutsu so that he could copy it with his Sharingan in their first fight.
Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique (水遁・水龍弾の術, Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu; English TV "Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu")
Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique takes the form of a giant, powerful dragon, created out of water. This jutsu needs 42 hand seals, the highest amount of hand seals necessary to use a jutsu shown in the series so far. Another drawback to the technique is that it requires the user to be near a large body of water to complete the technique. However, Tobirama Senju was able to produce one without a pre-existing water source and with only one hand seal, which was a testament to his skill and one of the reasons why he was selected as Hokage.
Water Release: Water Drowning Technique (Suiton: Suishi no Jutsu)
This jutsu will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.
Water Release: Water Encampment Wall (水遁・水陣壁, Suiton: Suijinheki; English TV "Water Style: Water Wall")
This defensive jutsu creates a wall of water around the user. This wall of water is especially effective at stopping fire techniques. The wall can be formed from a preexisting water source or by spitting a protective stream of water from the mouth. In the manga the hand seal sequence for this jutsu ends in the same seal that activate the Byakugan, though Tobirama Senju only needs one to use this jutsu. Furthermore, the anime creates a completely original and far more elaborate set of hand seals when Tobirama uses it in the form of having the right hand cupping the left hand with a thumbs-up.
Water Release: Water Shark Missile Technique (水遁・水鮫弾の術, Suiton: Suikōdan no Jutsu; English TV "Water Style: Water Shark Bomb Jutsu")
Water Release: Water Shark Missile Technique is a jutsu that forces water to attack the opponent in the form of a shark.
White Light Chakra Sabre (白光チャクラ刀, Hakkō Chakura To)
The White Light Chakra Sabre was a tanto that originally belonged to Sakumo, but then he passed it on to his son, Kakashi. Kakashi used it to fight Kakko, and the blade was destroyed. The tanto gave of a white streak of chakra when it was swung.
Summoning Jutsu: Kakashi can summon a pack of Ninken, also known as "Ninja Dogs" Here's all the dogs he can summon:
* Pakkun (パックン; the pug)
* Shiba (シバ; the one with the black crest on his head)
* Biscuit (ビスケ, Bisuke; little one with droopy eyes)
* Akino (アキノ; one with glasses)
* Guruko (グルコ; little one with the forehead protector on his forehead)
* Ūhei (ウーヘイ; one with bandages)
* Urushi (ウルシ; the white one)
* Bull (ブル, Buru; the big bulldog)
(all above data thanks to Narutopedia.)
Appearance:
Personality: Kakashi is a huge follower of teamwork, and has been ever since Obito died. He is also regularly late for appointments. He seems to be somewhat perverted, since he reads the 'Make-out" series regularly. However, he seems embarrassed to read the adult material to his students. He is also very calm and collected. Might Guy has also called him 'Trendy and Hip', and Guy is encouraged to beat Kakashi and his 'Hip coolness." Kakashi at times can have his comedic moments, as seen in his competitions with Guy. But when he needs to be, he'll be serious and focused. He uses his calmness to his advantage in battle. Kakashi is also very loving and tender towards Kanetsu.

* Pakkun (パックン; the pug)
