Tsutanai, from the moment Kai had finished talking, had wisely decided to keep his mouth shut for the rest of the way. He had no intention whatsoever of getting a finger or something jabbed into his mouth again, once was bad enough. To be truthful, he was actually beginning to get a bit...frightened of the two ninja. Although he had no idea about the sliver haired one, he knew that Kai had nearly given him a heart attack. He decided he didn't want to figure out if the other one was like him. Jeez, and I thought Sunagakure ninja could be scary... He thought, with a sweat drop running down his head. The three made it to the village gates, although not as soon as Kakashi would have hoped. Normally, he could have made it there rather easily, even if it was by walking, but the cilent was slowing both him and Kai down significantly. Kakashi predicted that at this rate, they might even have to camp out twice instead of just the regular one time that most shinobi required. If he was alone, Kakashi could have made it there in a day, but since he wasn't sure if Kai could, it wouldn't have mattered much. The way he saw it, this just gave Kakashi more time to read, which in his eyes made up for it in a way. As for Kai and his actions, well, Kakashi hadn't minded much. In fact, this mission would now be much quieter, and silence was a rarity that Kakashi hadn't usually gotten to enjoy on missions. Now that he thought about it, Kai actually reminded him a bit of Sai, as far as the bluntness went.

Kai passed a glance back at Tsutanai and read his expression, Kai could tell that the man was trying to hide it but he sensed fear...not exactly what he planned to create but shame and fear sometimes ran the same path. Kai had nothing against the man at all and in fact in no way shape or form did he hate him, but Tsutanai needed to learn the importance of not lying to everyone he meets. Kai said nothing to him for the time being but rather directed his attention toward Kakashi and that book he happened to be nose deep in.
"Kakashi, I wanted to ask you something..", he spoke to gain the man's attention. He wasn't exactly sure if he were open to the outside world at the moment but it was something he needed to know. "Years back during a chuunin exam, a fighter named Rock Lee was competing. There was a specific technique that I hold interest in that he knows...and ive been told that you know his master...", he said with a very inquisitive tone. "I was wondering if you would introduce me to that man, so that I could ask him to teach me the eight gates technique.". His eyes were relaxed, quite unsure of what he would say to such a request.
"I am not sure if you are familiar with the Nanakase clan or their capabilities, but with my training I believe my body is capable of withstanding the dangers the Eight Gates possesses and it would prove very useful to me in my growth as a shinobi.", he said as his eyes strayed off to some trees as they passed the village gates.

"Hmm?" Kakashi mumbled as he noticed Kai speak to him. It had snapped him out of the lovely Icha Icha world he had been engulfed in for the past half hour and brought him back to reality. He wasn't sure what Kai would want to ask him about, but he did shortly find out. At the mention of Lee's name and the Chunin Exams, he remembered his brave fight against Gaara. Gaara almost ended his ninja career, left alone his life. However, the two were on good terms now, since Gaara had his life straight and was Suna's Kazekage. When Kai asked to be introduced to Lee's master, he sighed. Kakashi really didn't want to be involved in another competition with Maito Gai. In fact, he was in one almost daily. But if he really had to introduce him, then he would. Then he would slip away while Gai rambled on about youth to Kai, which was inevitable. At the mention of the Nanakase clan and whether or not Kakashi was familiar with it, he recalled that he did, in fact, know a few things about them. Due to what knowledge he had of the clan, Kakashi figured that it would be somewhat easier to work with Kai during this mission. He silently pondered in his mind if Kai could handle Gai's training. It's not that he didn't think it was a matter of strength, it was more of Gai wanting the young male to wear one of his green jumpsuits. But if he really wanted to learn the technique, he'd put up with it. "I guess so." The sliver-haired Copy Nin shrugged. And with that said, the man returned to his green book, picking right back up from where he was.

"Unless of course you've already copied the technique...then naturally I would turn the request to you. You are the copy ninja after all.", Kai said with a wily smirk behind his mask. His ear perked slightly as he scanned his surroundings to make sure that they were alone in the area. They had only just stepped out of the village but one could never be too careful. He made sure to keep a close eye on their client, at their current distance he could move to protect him in a mere blink.

Kakashi continued reading the pages of his beloved book. He did, in fact, know the technique himself, but he didn't want to help him learn it. It wasn't Kai, it was that Kakashi was already working with Yamato to help Naruto master Wind Element, as well as some new jutsu. That took precedence over having to teach Kai; Naruto had to learn in order to help his ability to fight the Akatsuki. And if there was already someone else who could do it, then there was no problem. "Hm." Kakashi responded, giving that to Kai as an answer.

"Hm?", he repeated Kakashi's answer in question. "That doesn't really tell me much.", he stated as he moved his eyes to the book that Kakashi was reading. It was painfully obvious that the book was partly a distraction to Kai's question, in fact he noticed that Kakashi has only put the book away once since he had gotten there. He made a swift leap which came off somewhat as a blur due to his physical developed prowess and leaned over glancing at the book. Just glancing over a few sentences made Kai studder in a blush of near embarrassment at what he was reading. "I uh...um....wow, thats pretty graphic.", he said in part confusion.
Kai didn't know if he wanted to turn away or keep reading but the few sentences he picked up were rather perverse. Kakashi read that kind of stuff? He had no idea who the author was but he or she surely had a vivid imagination toward romance...or lust? He didn't quite read enough to tell which way the book was leading to in that scene.

Kakashi's visible eye widened as he realized what happened. Instinctively, he pulled his book towards himself, though he didn't lose the page he was on. Knowing that Kai had just found out the content of his book, his cheeks slightly turned pink. If he ever had to read Icha Icha's contents out loud, he didn't know if he could make it. In response to Kai's statement and apparent confusion, Kakashi nervously scratched the back of his head. The book, in all truth, was really graphic. But with Jiraiya as the author, no one would have expected otherwise. Kakashi didn't downplay the perverted Sannin's writing skills at all, however. In fact, all of the Icha Icha series were absolute masterpieces, in his opinion. There was no doubt in the Copy Nin's head that he would probably be reading them for the rest of his life, and he really wanted to.
