Iruka was sitting at his desk, grading classwork and the tests from today.
"I'm impressed...they have been quiet for a whole hour." Iruka thought to himself.

Kaiyou was already asleep. While the girl in the back was drawing on paper.

Iruka was still grading the tests from today. The test itself was based on the Escape Jutsu. One of the questions asked how to properly use the jutsu, and another asked how to attack without being noticed after using the jutsu. Iruka just had three more to grade, and there was only about 10 minutes left. He flipped through the tests and graded the remaining ones. "Seventy percent, Eighty-five percent...." He thought as he reached the last one. The remaining one was... none other than Kaiyou's. "... One-Hundred Percent." Iruka thought as he smiled. "Pretty good, Kaiyou..."

Kaiyou fell out of her chair and jumped up wide awake. She had fallen asleep almost an hour ago. Looking at Iruka she hopped back into her chair and tried to go back to sleep.

Normally, Iruka would have scolded the young girl about falling asleep during a detention. But, for some odd reason, he had decided against it.
"Well... she did get a good grade." He told himself. "I'll let it go this time." Iruka smiled as Kaiyou tried to fall asleep once again.

Shikamaru opened one eye after hearing a thud. He chuckled quietly to himself, closing his eye. He was in a thoughtful doze. Just a few more minutes or so...
The after school bell rang, which was meant for a teacher break, but had a second role of telling when deteintion was over.
Shikamaru jumped slightly after being in deep thought. He stood up, and walked over to Iruka.
"What a day. Well, I'm off. Cya Iruka." Shikamaru said, then left.

Kaiyou yawned unable to go back to sleep and stared at the chalk board.

Iruka waved at the departing Shikamaru. He turned around and put all of the tests in a quick alphabetized stack.
"Okay students,detention is over! You may exit the room." Iruka told them.

The girl in the back was out there fast. Kaiyou grabbed her stuff and headed out sleepily. The detention made her really sleepy.

Iruka stopped Kaiyou before she exited.
"Oh, Kaiyou. I guess since you were very well behaved in detention, I will talk to San about making an appearance." He said, smiling.
((San will make her appearance AFTER the next plot. We are trying to get the threads done so we can begin.))

Iruka sighed.
"I had no idea that San could have such an influence on these kids..." He thought.
