Caleb clenched his teeth while he slid down the tree. There was no way to beat Violet with surprise attacks... He suddenly had an idea. Maybe he could slam Hayate into the sky so he could attack her easily... Before you could say 'Hayate look out!' He had rammed into his teacher, sending him up in Violet's direction.

At that, Violet slammed down onto Hayate, forcing both him and Caleb to the ground. With a powerful beat of her wings, she then rose higher and higher, out of complete reach of the shadows. She then shot three kunai down at them.

"Sealing Jutsu!" Hayate called very weakly from the ground, putting a barrier around Caleb, blocking two of the kunai. The other one hit him straight in the arm. Before doubling over in pain, he called out a jutsu. "Sun's Wrath!" He called. Violet had never seen this jutsu before, so there's no way she could dodge it.

Violet couldn't dodge it, but she could avoid it altogether.
"Dark Phantom Jutsu!" At that, she completely disappeared, and only the eyes of the Byakugan would be able to see her. That means, only Hyuga. Whatever happened, the jutsu would pass through her. And Hayate had never seen this one either.

Caleb lay there, wanting to get up, but his brain fought the earge. He weakly raised his hands, "Swamp Ground Jutsu..." He started to sink in the ground. Before he was completely covered, he smiled.

"D*****" Hayate swore. "I should've used some captures." He then attempted to heal his arm with minor jutsu.

Before Hayate could finish healing, the ground exploded beneath his feet, sending him up in a pillar of up flowing mud, which froze, encased in a layer of ice, so Hayate couldn't move. Caleb rose from the mud, and ran to the top of the pillar, and attempted to get Hayate with an older jutsu of his, "Homing Attack Jutsu!" He shot towards his teacher from short range, making it almost impossible to escape the attack.

Violet watched from her invisible position.
She then released all her jutsu, and landed on the ground. She had a faint smile.
She crossed her arms, and and simply said, "I'm done."

Caleb turned around, "Aww... I was just getting started!" He said. He was making hand signs behind his back that only Hayate could see. Just like with Hayate, the ground beneath Violet turned soft, then shot in a pillar, but wider than Hayate's to make it even harder to escape. He made sure her legs were in the mud before freezing it. He shot over to her in his Homing Attack Jutsu.

"Haha, too bad." And in a puff, she was next to Hayate, and her dragon wings had reappeared. She was in flight next to him. With a few handsigns, she did another jutsu.
"Whitefire Jutsu!" And with that, she broke Hayate out. However, she let him fall to the ground, and giggled.

Caleb fell to the ground, throwing kunai at Hayate, but having no success in aiming, he felt the ground hit his feet and stretched, "I don't know about you guys, but I'm beat from all this training... I'm out..." He walked off the training grounds.

"You little..." Hayate muttered. "You've adapted to Nature Jutsu haven't you? Well two can play at that game..." Without forming any handseals the ice around him exploded making Caleb's attack miss. He watched Caleb and Violet go out at it again, while he attempted to stand up. "Yeah I'm out too. No more chakara on me." At that a bird dropped out of the sky, and who could it be other than Tatyl. In its beak it held a message. Reading the scroll, Hayate smiled. "Congratulations Caleb. I sent contact to Iruka and the Hokage about this. They used a simple scrying jutsu to see the battle, and have decided that you're above the level for Academy Students." He pulled a headband off Tatyl's leg. "You're a genin now."

Caleb stopped in his tracks, almost falling over from turning around too quickly. He saw the headband in Hayate's hands, and his eyes widened, "A...A genin?!" He ran over and felt the blue, elastic velvet of the hidden-leaf headband, "Are you serious?!"

"No I'm just joking." Hayate nudged Calebs shoulder. "Of course I'm serious!" Hayate handed the boy the headband. "How about Ichiraku's?"
