*!Plot!* The Leaf's Last Stand

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu smiled softly, blissfully. She blushed a bit, looking up at the sky. The rain continued to beautifully cascade from the sky. It was almost dusk, the now darkened sky had hints of whiteish gray fog. She closed her eyes, and hugged Kakashi tightly.
"Kakashi...after what happened to my family, I thought that I didn't want to live anymore...that I had no reason." Kanetsu said softly. "But...something in my mind just told me that I had a reason...that things would get better. So I tried my best to continue on, hoping for a turn around to come along. But things kept getting worse." She took a breath. "My team died, and then I was sure that nothing was going to take the pain away. But again, something inside told me to continue. I just kept going on, I never thought anything was going to get better...until I returned." Kanetsu continued. "I realize how incredibly lucky I am to have you, Kakashi..." Kanetsu embraced him a little more, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "You love me for who I am...and I couldn't imagine a future without you...I love you so much, Kakashi."

A black chakra hand emerged from Ikijigoku's head, and took hold of Hayate. He suffered from the blow Hayate dealt to him, but he then sent a shock of chakra surging through Hayate...and it was enough to make anyone scream in pain.
"Heh..." Was all he could say.

Violet watched. It was going to be an interesting battle.

Kakashi wiped her tear away.
"Kanetsu...I've noticed how pained you've been. And I've just fallen in love with you despite your pain. And since you've had that will to keep going, because you think there might be a brighter future, it...means a lot. Perserverance. And through that, you've found a person that you've fallen in love with." He looked calmly at her. "And that person loves you too."

[Hayate Mochiya]

((Time for me to do some... duh duh duh!!! modding!!!))

"ACK!" Hayate choked as he flew backwards against the walls of the dome, shocking him again. It was then that he realized something. The black chakara absorbed chakara. "Crappit... I've got to finish this quickly." He noticed something on the other side of the dome, something he had completely forgot about. The bow. He had to quickly figure out what to do, then limited the chakara flow to his feet. He put away his swords, and summoned Tatyl and Koma. Hayate spoke softer than he thought he could. "Koma. Burrow and trap. Tatyl, follow me." He sighed as he realized that this next part would take away most if not all his chakara. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" About seven clones were created, and each clone circled Ikijigoku. "Shadow posession Jutsu!" Each one, except the real one, cried. Because the dome blocked out light, the whole place was covered in shadow. Along with the fact that Koma dug and used Earth Style Jutsu to sink Ikijigoku's feet into the ground, Hayate's opponent could not move. Hayate sprinted across to his bow, and pulled out several senbon from his holster. "Tiny Fireball Jutsu!" He whispered as he smelted them to make a short metal shaft. He used another jutsu to coat it in sharpened grass "blades". He made a chakara tip, and plucking a feather from Tatyl, he fletched the make-shift arrow. "I've only got one shot at this..." He knocked his arrow, and fired at Ikijigoku's chest.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu smiled softly.
"Kaka...I don't know who I would have been if I didn't think things would get better. I could have been absolutely suicidal, mean, twisted, hating. I would have ran far,far away from this Village, trying to get away from human life...afraid of getting hurt once more." She began. "My heart would have caved in...I would have ceased to exist. But...because of you...I am alive...I have a reason to live." Kanetsu said, nuzzling his chest. "And I know...you've had your fair share of problems too...I can only imagine how hard it's been on you and your heart. You had the strength to continue, even though your heart must have been in so much pain." She continued. "Kakashi...you helped me stay sane, even if neither of us knew it. So now...I want to make sure your heart is completely healed...I promise you."

Kaiyou shook herself as the guy pushed her aside. Glancing around she noticed Violet and sat next to her still transformed into a tiger. Releasing the jutsu she sat next to Violet and looked at the dome. "Hayate will win. We both know it. Evil very rarely prevails." Kaiyou looked at her feet and knew she would have to get some new sandals. Well she could walk around barefooted. She liked that better then shoes.

San glanced up as the rain came down. Closing her eyes she just let it wash away the blood that had collected on her clothes and face from the enemies. So peaceful but it wasn't done yet. She could see the dome with her sharingan. Sitting down she deactivated them and looked around.

Ikijigoku faced the arrow like nothing. He made a force field of black chakra around him. But the arrow pierced effortlessly through it. And it impaled Ikijigoku right in the heart, and the center of his black chakra network...and stopped it. He tried to move, but only twitched, and fell to the ground. Chakra poured from his heart as if it were blood, and his body swiftly decayed in front of Hayate.
And the dome faded.

Violet blinked. She smiled at Kaiyou.
"H-...H-Hayate..." She whispered, but it was actually quite a loud whisper. She couldn't control it. She blushed as she watched Hayate prevail. A slick move, and it was rather...entertaining. And something to admire.

"Kanetsu. I think you've already fulfilled that promise. Because you make my heart flutter like a free bird..." He whispered to her, kissing her cheek, holding her tightly.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Hayate dropped to his knees. "That's it... for now..." Tatyl and Koma disapeared along with his other clones. "That feels better." He said as he slowly walked over to Violet. "I can't fight any longer. Thank God I don't have to."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Bits of red slowly made it's appearance across Kanetsu's cheeks. However, the heat from her cheeks did make her face less cold. And she felt so much warmer in Kakashi's strong arms, especially since it was very cold and rainy. The rain fell to the ground faster and harder every second, the sounds splish-splashing off the very soaked ground. It created large puddles everywhere, making trees slippery and harder for ninja to jump on and off of them. Water drip-dropped off Kakashi's gravity-defying sliver hair, only to land on Kanetsu's head. But she didn't mind. Not at all, actually.
Suddenly, a loud burst of cheers began echoing through the Village, so loud that Kanetsu could hear it, and she was sure Kakashi could too.
"...I think it's over....It's finally over." She whispered. "We can go back now!" Kanetsu said, smiling.
"I do hope everyone's ok, though..." She thought.


((And now, ShikaTema! *imaginary crowd cheers and whistles* But first, Hiashi and the Hyuga clan. *crowd sighs because they have to wait*))

Everyone was involved in this war. Kanetsu wasn't the only Hyuga that was fighting in it. The entire Hyuga clan defended their village and their clan at the Hyuga clan territory.
"Father, I think the war has ended!" Hanabi exclaimed. "How was I? Have my Gentle Fist skills improved?"
"Yes Hanabi. You've done very well. I'm proud of you." Hiashi stated. He turned back to the rest of the Hyugas who were fighting. "This war has ended. You have all done very well. Now, go home to your families, and get some well deserved rest." He shouted to them so they could hear. They surely didn't disagree, and went home to their families. Well, if they even had families to begin with.
Neji settled himself down, but he still had his Byakugan activated. He looked around to see what the damage was to the village, but instead what he found suprised him.
"That's Kanetsu...isn't it?" He thought.
Hinata had her Byakugan activated aswell, and noticed that Neji was looking at something. She walked over to Neji, and asked,
"Neji, is there something wrong? You seem like something's bothering you."
Neji shook his head. "No Hinata, look near the Tatsu clan's territory." He told her. Hinata's eyes slightly widened.
"T-that's...Kanetsu!" She exclaimed.
"Yes...that's right." The last time Neji and Hinata saw Kanetsu was when Neji was 8 and Hinata was 7, so their memory of her wasn't that strong. But they had heard she had made her return, they became somewhat excited. Kanetsu would play and train with them all the time. She had to be with them separate times, though, since Neji obviously didn't get along with Hinata back then. Kanetsu was really the only Main Branch member that Neji got along with, because she also didn't like the Branch system either. Her parent's didn't like it either, but Hiashi disagreed, even though Hiashi was cousin's with her father.

Neji smiled.
"She's probably more extreme than before, I bet." Hinata nodded, and smiled aswell.
"Yeah..." She agreed, talking in her usual soft voice. But in a short amount of time, Neji noticed something more that suprised him.
"Hinata...look who she's with..." He said quietly, not wanting Hiashi to hear. Hinata looked somewhat shocked.
"I-isn't that Kakashi-sensei?" She questioned. They couldn't see his face, however. They didn't focus their Byakugan that much, nor did they want to use the energy.
"Yes, it is. And they look like more than just friends..." He trailed off. "...Hinata, we should ask Hiashi if we could...invite her here tomorrow." Neji told her. "He'll surely accept. But...don't tell Hiashi about Kakashi-sensei and Kanetsu yet. He definitely wouldn't react well to this, since you know he wants the Kekkei Genkai to stay inside the clan." Hinata nodded.
"Of course...b-but...he'll have to find out sooner or later, won't he?"
"Yes, but in this case, sooner would be better. Once Hiashi accepts, we'll go inform Kanetsu. And we'll tell her to bring Kakashi. She knows that Hiashi would be very displeased, so she has to have something up her sleeve. Letting her tell him would be better than us." Neji explained.
"O-ok, that sounds like a good plan, Neji." Hinata agreed.
The cousins walked over to Hiashi, deactivating their Byakugan. They asked them if Kanetsu could come visit tomorrow.
"Hmm...I would like to see how much she has grown...very well, then." Hiashi said.
"Thank you father...We will go inform her..." Hinata said in her usual shy voice.

Kakaashi stood up with her, and swept her off her feet.
"Then we should head back for some well-deserved rest..."

"Hayate...you don't...look so good..." She watched him. He looked right about to colapse. She stood up, having recovered from being paralyzed.

[Hayate Mochiya]

"It's oka-y," he staggered. He fixed his headband which had tightened around his neck. "I didn't think the arrow would work. I used everything I had. Tatyl's gonna be hurting in the rump for a while now though..."


Gaara looked over the village, now safe from any immediate danger. "What's a Kazekage to do but help allies." He smiled when he heard Naruto yelling at Ichiraku to give him ramen. "You're safe are you Naruto? I'm not suprised."

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb, who had fainted a while back, awoke. He looked up at the two a distance away from him, blurred from just getting up. He stood up, but stumbled to his knees again, and let himself go down, stopping the fall with his hands. He set his chin on the ground, his eyes bloodshot, "Did... Did we win?" He looked at the almost pile of dust that once was Ikijigoku, "Yeah... We won..." He looked at the condition he was in, and sighed, "Wow, I was a pain..."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

At his actions, Kanetsu's face went almost completely red. Her heart jumped quite a bit, her thoughts were slightly scrambled, like eggs.
"He's really strong..." She thought, making herself blush even more, if it was possible.
"O-ok." Kanetsu tried to respond. She attempted to calm herself down, when she noticed something crucial. "Wait..." She mumbled, pulling up his mask. "There we go." Kanetsu smiled.


Shikamaru and Temari held their own while the war lasted, each helping the other every now and then. When Temari helped Shikamaru, she would slightly tease him about it, while when it was vise-versa, Shikamaru would just reply with "Man, what a Drag...". They realized it was over when the bloody rain came to an abrupt stop in the middle of their fights, and their enemies fell to the ground, not moving. Temari and Shikamaru both sighed at the same time, both blushing a tiny bit, trying to hide it from the other. Temari put her fan away, while Shikamaru rubbed his shoulder. She looked over at him.
"You seem troubled, what is it?" Temari asked him, questioningly. Shikamaru just stood there for a minute or two.
"Well?" She asked again. Shikamaru sighed.

"...It's a drag, but I think we're meant to be together." He finally got it out. Temari blushed, and looked at him like he had went nuts.
"W-what?" Temari stuttered. This was not what she expected out of Shikamaru's response.
"Well, think about it. We always end up fighting side-by-side with each other in every battle where the Sand and Leaf are involved. It all seem like it's for a reason." Shikamaru began. "And the more I think about it...the more I begin to think I actually enjoyed those fights more with you with me." He sighed, scratching his neck. Temari blushed almost furiously.
"Sh-Shikamaru..." She couldn't say anything else right now.
"Oh man...Don't blush like that, it makes me nervous." He said. But it just made her blush more. "Well...It's troublesome..." Shikamaru began. Temari looked at him, waiting for him to finish.

"But I think I love you." He finished. Temari gasped a tiny bit.
"R-really? You do...?" She asked, very surprised.
"Yeah...I do." Shikamaru replied. "...What about you?" He questioned, scratching his neck.
"I..." Temari stumbled in her sentence. Shikamaru felt nervous. It would be really troublesome if she didn't feel the same. "...I love you too, Shikamaru." She finished. Shikamaru exhaled loudly. Temari felt somewhat better after spilling her heart to him. She was sitting on a bench at the Academy's Schoolyard. It was under a tree, so it blocked the harsh rain. He came over slowly, and sat down, wrapping an arm lightly around her. Temari blushed a tiny bit at this, while some academy students saw, and 'ooh'ed and whistled at the two. Some also went 'Go Shikamaru-sensei!' and 'Heheheh, alright Shikamaru-sensei!'.
Shikamaru sighed. "What a drag." He said, his arm tightening more around Temari. "So...how long are you going to be here?" Shikamaru asked.
Temari gulped. "Well, actually, we we're supposed to leave right after the fights were over..." She said sadly. Shikamaru frowned. "But...I'm sure Gaara and Kankuro won't mind if I stay the rest of the night." She told him. His facial expression became happier.
"Ugh...I don't know how my Mom's going to respond to a girl in my room...she's so troublesome." He said, sighing. Temari laughed a bit.
"I'm sure we can convince her somehow."

And with that, they headed towards Shikamaru's house, hoping to not get scolded or anything like that by his mom.

With a few jumps and a poof, both Kakashi and Kanetsu were at their home.
"Kanetsu. I love you."

Violet was slightly blushing a bit. She laughed a bit at the mention of Tatyl.
"S-so...Hayate..." She said, trailing off, trying to find words to say.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu smiled warmly at him. "I love you too." She told him. But...she was waiting for it to happen. In a matter of a few seconds after Kakashi saying things like that, Kanetsu would blush furiously. She couldn't control it though. It was Kakashi. The Kakashi she loved. Saying those things to her, and her only. I just made her feel...indescribable. Wonderful, loved--
"...I'm blushing a lot now, aren't I?" She asked him.

[San™]

Kaiyou watched Caleb and got up leaving Violet and Hayate alone. Crouching dowh she pulled his arm over her shoulder and stood up helping him. "Lets get you to the hospital now. And this time you are not running out of it." For being so small Kaiyou knew how to make people listen to her. Slowly she pulled him toward the hospital.

San looked off the rooftop to see Naruto ordering Ramen. Of course. That boy always had time for Ramen. Looking over everything she noticed the Kazkage. She would have thought maybe they would have started to head home now. Standing up she immediatly fell right back down. That was a definate telltale that she was not going to be up tomorrow. And probably not training for another day after. Now how was she going to go home if she could barely walk. She refused to go to the hospital.
