*!Plot!* The Leaf's Last Stand

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb came to again, seeing another kunai coming towards Hayate, but to a more vulnerable spot. He slipped from his former teacher's grasp to block the kunai from Hayate. He tried to catch it, but it sliced through his finger, almost taking it off. He let out a muffled, "Oww..." and tried crawling towards Hayate again, fainting.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu looked around. It was peaceful, and very quiet. She looked at her body. Kanetsu wasn't the same. It was as if her body had shrunk. And it had. Kanetsu was reduced to the same age she was when her...parents were slaughtered.
"It's...my old house. In the Hyuga clan territory." She thought.

Suddenly, it hit her like a brick. She had been, in a way, sent back in time.

And this wasn't a good time at all.

As soon as she realized what was going on, she raced off in the direction of her parent's room, knowing what was going to happen very soon. Kanetsu quickly turned the doorhandle, and the door flew open. She had made it in time.

In time to see her parents get slaughtered.

Kanetsu gasped. Tears began to cascade down her face like a waterfall. Burakku appeared inside their house. He smiled twistedly, his sick eyes looking to her mother, then her father, finally taking his time looking into Kanetsu's younger eyes. That look was the same look that would begin years of torture and pain for Kanetsu. She remember the demented look immediately, as it would haunt her dreams for almost 20 years after.
Burakku suddenly redirected his attention to her parents, and they began a deadly fight.

And all Kanetsu could do was watch.

She tried to help, but her body kept passing through them. They couldn't hear anything she said, either. But they were still trying to protect her. However, it wasn't enough.
Burakku had just killed Kanetsu's parents.
"N-n-no...." She stuttered. He laughed evily, and disappeared. The house began to burn down. This time, Kanetsu didn't try to escape, she was well aware it was a Genjutsu. And it was a strong one. She thought it was over.
But it was far from the end.

Suddenly, the house changed form, and became a field. Kanetsu became even more devastated. It was the same field...that her team was killed in. Her body once again changed form, into her younger ninja attire. Her team was in front of her; Teashi and Biyoku Inuzuka, known as the Inuzuka Twins, and Kouseki Tatsu, her sensei. Tears hadn't ceased flowing down Kanetsu's already tear-stained face. They dripped to the ground, and ironically, it began raining. Just like that same day. While Kanetsu watched her tears fall to the ground, the fight had already been underway. It was back and forth for a while, but it wasn't enough.

Her team had just been killed too.


Kanetsu couldn't take reliving this pain anymore. Outside the Genjutsu, Kanetsu was clutching her head. Tears were pouring from her face in reality aswell. The white Chakra and Mangetsu Byakugan were still present. What Kanetsu didn't know, was that the Mangetsu Byakugan could see though any Genjutsu. But she didn't know how yet.
She attempted to reach to the back of her ninja pouch, she barely succeeded, and threw some ninja weapons toward Burakku, hoping they would at least disrupt the jutsu.

[Hayate is hurting bad]

"@#$#$%" Hayate swore as he picked Caleb back up. "Violet," he muttered, his voice barely more than a whisper. "I can't keep maintaining him much longer. If we don't make it to the hospital fast, I'm going slip into worse condition than him." He staggered along his wounds growing worse as his chakara no longer was able to hold them back.

No...No! NO! Please! Stop! Ruby held her own head in her hands. Tears were streaming heavily from her eyes. She remained in her form, but in the genjutsu, she was her helpless self. A blast of chakra then headed straight for Barakku.

But both attacks did nothing. The kunai stuck in his leg. No blood, pain, or anything for Barakku. And he stopped the bullet of chakra with some of his own, black, chakra. He continued the jutsu.

Ruby was transported to where he cousin, Kouseki Tatsu, had been killed. She was a lot younger. She stood in horror, as she watched how her cousin had been killed.
Ruby was breathing heavily outside the genjustu, and her eyes still stared forward blank. She hardly managed to activate her Eyes of the Dragon to a heightened state. And there she saw the forms of two others.

Kakashi.

And Alastr.

Kakashi quickly went to check back on Kanetsu. Surely she had finished of Ikijigoku. But when he arrived, hidden by trees, he watched...and it horrified him. Kanetsu was stuck in a trance, in a powerful genjutsu.
"Kanetsu..." He whispered to himself.

And there was one thing that would make him do what he was about to do: Love.

"Give him to me." Violet said. She picked Caleb up easily. She took a long look at Hayate. All dirty and wounded, and yet, still looked cute. Yep.
She breathed harder and grasped his hand.
"You need chakra...I have plenty...I'll use my Tatsu chakra." She said, muttering a few words. Regular chakra began to drain from Violet into Hayate, "I won't let you die. Not now. We need to take Caleb, and continue to fight the strongest ones they have here."
What other people didn't know, was that Violet couldn't transfer her chakra, unless it was someone she loved. It was a special technique passed down in her family, not clan related.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

After Kanetsu went through the pain of seeing the death of her family and friends, she thought it was over. But it wasn't. Suddenly, it appeared that she had been put to sleep. Kanetsu had no idea what was going on this time, but she was kind of happy for being put to sleep. The bad thing was that it was a Genjutsu, and it wasn't a time for rest. But for Kanetsu, rather more torture. Immediately, Kanetsu began seeing Burakku's terrible eyes giving her a deadly look. She realized what this was. It wasn't really a past event. In fact, it was...

Kanetsu's first nightmare from Burakku.

And little did she know, that she was about relive every single one without rest.

In reality, blood began dripping from the side of her mouth as she experienced terrible, terrible pain. Her head and neck area had already been injured, but now, this Genjutsu was making her head feel like it was being smashed into a wall repeatedly.

Almost anyone would have been dead by now when experiencing this powerful Genjutsu. But, long ago, Kanetsu made a promise on her family and friends' graves. She wouldn't suffer their same fate, she would make sure that no one would ever have to die like that again. But she didn't waste her life on getting revenge. She tried to live normally. She did most of that alone.

But, Kanetsu also made another promise...

She had promised Kakashi that she would be alright.

Alastr watched as Ruby almost literally tore herself apart from guilt.

The guilt wasn't real though...it was brought up by the genjutsu.

Ruby was practically digging her claws into her own head from the extreme pain the genjutsu made her feel. She screeched, and could hardly move voluntarily. She somehow managed to place her hands in front of her, and her hands clawed up the ground.
In her head, she was watching each and every death that Ikijigoku had made happen. And they were all her friends.
Some were caused by Barakku, but nonetheless, her already strong hatred for the Zetsumei was growing yet stronger. He head seethed with the memories of her friends, and their deaths. And there was a lot.

Alastr couldn't stand it anymore. He lifted his sword, and charged straight toward the zombie that was Barakku.

At the exact same time, Kakashi was headed toward Barakku with a lightning blade.

And both had the intention of disrupting the genjutsu. And both were backed by love.

Barakku just laughed, completely unaware. He walked toward Kanetsu.
"Kanetsu...you know why my eyes are missing? Because I want yours...and they are about to become mine!" He raised his wings to rejoice evilly, and crept even closer to her.
"You die here."

"RUBY!" Alastr screamed.

And both Alastr and Kakashi collided into Barakku as he tried to come closer to tortured Kanetsu...

...and the Genjutsu broke...but it wasn't over.

[San™]

San slammed a Kunai into the arm of a very strong Ninja. While he was screaming in pain she kicked him off the roof and onto a Shadow Shuriken on the ground. Wiping at the blood at the side of her mouth she failed to notice the one coming at her right. Her hair shot out and slammed in to the chest of the ninja then returned to the simple braid she had put it in earlier. Unaware of the Kunai flying at her moved to go after another ninja and is imbeded itself into her shoulder. San gritted her teeth pulled it out and sent it back at the other Ninja. Sick and Tired of the Nonsense, San focused her Chakra and begun a series of hand signs. When she was done she didn't say a word, Cause it might have broken her concentration. Her Sharingan were Activated again. And invisible feild laid out before her eyes as her Chakra flowed to the enemies and not to allies. It spanned out to almost reach the hospital, Then the Genjutsu hit all the enemies at once. Because of the amount of Chakra it cause she knew she would only be able to do it once for a little while. "Black fire" And the Jutsu was released upon the unsuspecting foes. Many were already screaming thinking someone had lit them on fire.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

((Oh...you know what, Violet? Have you always spelled Burakku like that? I just noticed that you spell it with a A instead of a U as the second letter...I'm such an idiot, I never realized you were spelling it wrong...sorry.))

Kanetsu was barely hanging on, when the Genjutsu suddenly stopped. She immediately felt a rush of relief go through her entire body, more importantly, her head. While she was certainly glad and relieved, she was also confused.
"But, if Ruby and I were trapped in the Genjutsu, then who got him to release it?" Kanetsu thought. She gathered what strength she had left to slowly get up. It momentarily put a large strain on her body, but she got used to it.
Kanetsu was breathing heavily. She shook her head a few times to get everything running again. She had to blink a few times to re-sharpen her vision. It had been slightly blurred from having her eyes shut. The reason for her eyes being shut would be that she closed them in pain during the Genjutsu. Kanetsu's vision only took a second or two in order to recover.
She looked around, barely giving any effort as she didn't need to, thanks to her Mangetsu Byakugan. Kanetsu spotted something that surprised her, and honestly, what she saw made her feel alot better.

Kakashi.


"Kakashi..." She whispered in disbelief.

Kanetsu's white Chakra began to re-flare around her body, as she had tuned it down during Burakku's Genjutsu torture, not wanting to waste any valuable energy. Just looking at him gave her the energy to continue. It also reminded her of how she promised him earlier that she'd be alright.

Some people would just shrug off most promises like they weren't a big deal. Especially promises to their loved ones.

Kanetsu wasn't one of those people.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Hayate stood straighter as more chakara flowed into his body. "That's enough. You still need some too." He pulled the kunai and shuriken out of his leg and arm (why didn't he do that before?), and preformed a slightly more than basic healing jutsu. "Just be careful. You won't need to use any Tatsu chakara for now." He took out white bandages (like Lee's) out of his backpack and wrapped them around his leg(s) and arm(s) (What? it looks cool). He pulled his sword and was ready to go. "I'm ready to go. I'll cover you, just run as fast as you can."

Burakku stood there...With the Glam in his chest, and the disappearing Lightning Blade in his stomach.

Alastr pulled the Glam out, and moved back. He turned, and went quickly to Ruby.
She sat there. The torture had finished. She hardly realized the genjutsu was finished, but then she stood up. She was bleeding from the corners of her mouth, and her eyes were still teared up. Alastr stood next to her.
"Ruby...are you...?" He said, not finishing his sentence.
"Alastr...I'm...fine..." She said, between breaths. Her breathing became more calm, and her usual calm, serious face returned. Her aura of chakra still flowed around her, and it was healing her. Within a few moments of standing there, she looked fresh, with no wounds, blood, or anything.
She turned to look at Alastr.
"Alastr, you know what? I love you...and you know what else?" She said.
"W-what?"
"Kanetsu needs to beat Burakku's ass..." She said, smirking.
And she turned toward Kanetsu. And gave her a thumbs up.

At the same time, Kakashi staggered back, and jumped up into the tree, disappearing.
"Kanetsu...you promised me you'd be ok. Well, I believe that you can still fulfill that promise." He said to Kanetsu. And he poofed.

Burakku still stood there. He yelled his frustration.
"You worthless..." He screeched out, not finishing his sentence yet, "Copycat Ninja, and Tatsu crap!"
He turned to Kanetsu.
"This will still have to end soon!" And he continued his walk toward her. His heart no longer beat. The Glam had sliced right through it, so it no longer pumped chakra throughout his body like blood. But he could still live, and still fight.
And Kakashi's Lightning Blade had put his chakra out 'alignment' meaning it was harder to use any jutsu, because the chakra was 'unorganized' now.
And he began performing hand signs. He was about to use Fists of the Devil once more.

Performing a few handsigns, she activated "Speed of the Tatsu", nodded at Hayate, and began to run at a high speed toward the hospital. Her eyes seen straight through any genjutsu. On the way, she dispached a few ninja in her way, running past them, slicing her sword through them.

She reached the hospital. She deactivated all her jutsu she had, except her eyes, and walked in quickly.
"We need emergency care for him! Fast!" She said as she walked in.
A group of medical nin walked out, and Violet placed Caleb on the mat they brought out. And they took him for healing.
"I hope he'll be ok." She said to herself.

"Hayate!" She said, walking out of the hospital.

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb awoke on the way to a hospital room. He looked at each nin. He didn't know if he would be okay, but he muttered, "Put me back! I must fight! I won't just let my village die like this!" One of the nins looked back, "You are in no condition to fight young man! We will heal you, but you won't be able to fight anymore!" They reached an empty double bedded, in which they rested Caleb down in. They rushed out of the room to help the other injured ninjas. As soon as he got into a comfortable position, he heard a screams which some were cut off as a couple thuds sounded. "No! They've reached the hospital!" He got the strength to pick a chakra pill he had stole from an older gennin. He swallowed it, and limped/ran to the lobby. He saw ninjas invading the building. "NO!!! ICE BREATHING JUTSU!!!" Stronger ice than usual came out, freezing all the enemies. He began throwing kunai, breaking the ice, and the opponents bodies.After they were all gone, he collapsed. The last thing he saw before fainting was a nin standing over him, "Thank you..."

Kanetsu smiled, and nodded at Ruby. It was just for a moment, though, as she had to worry about kicking Burakku's ass back into his grave. But she was smiling for another reason.
"Kakashi still believes in me...I can't fail." She thought. In her head, she was quickly trying to assemble a plan, before Burakku had a chance to activate his ultimate jutsu, Fists of the Devil.
Quickly, she began making handsigns. However, her jutsu took less handsigns than Burakku's.
"Fire Style: Heavenly White Fireball!" Kanetsu took a deep breath, and a gigantic fireball formed. It was so hot that it's flames became white. It was at least three times the size of a normal Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu. The fireball began quickly making its way toward Burakku.

"Kakashi...I don't know if I'll be able to make it out completely un-injuried. But...I love you. So I'll try."

[Hayate Mochiya]

"I'm he- Oh ****!!" Hayate called as he slashed at a ninja behind Violet. The ninjas had reached the hospital. Hayate ran inside, only to find Caleb fighting. "Caleb you retard!" He screamed. "You're in no condition to fight!" He grabbed him by the arm (of course after the other ninjas were dead), and pulled him into a room with surviving medical ninja. "Make sure he doesn't fight until he's fully healed." Hayate ran back out to Violet. "I think this is where we're needed. If the hospital is attacked it's all over. Tsunade's summoned Katsuyu, but I won't take one for myself. They're all we have besides this building."

Ruby and Alastr watched as Kanetsu made the giant fireball.
"Kanetsu! I'll leave you to this one..." She yelled, and she jumped into a tree, and would only stay to watch. Alastr followed, and sat there, next to his love.

Burakku didn't see it coming (How could he? HE HAS NO EYES!!!!), and the giant fireball hit him straight on. It seared his body, literally cooking him, but he felt no pain.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall Jutsu!" And the fireball was destroyed, and a mud wall stood between him and Kanetsu. Then the mud wall turned into mud bullets, aimed straight at Kanetsu.

Violet nodded.
"Okay." She took another good look into Hayate's eyes.
She then bit her thumb, and performed a summoning jutsu.
"Summoning Jutsu!" Tatsumaru, the chief's son, appeared next to Violet.
He was a bit taller than her.
<Violet, I am at your service!> He said.
"We have a mission. Kill every enemy ninja in sight, and protect the hospital especially!" She replied. The dragon nodded, spread its wings, and flew off, to another side of the hospital.
She looked at Hayate again.
"Hayate..." She whispered, hardly knowing why she said that out loud.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Hayate heard her, but to maintain his "too cool to care" image, he didn't react, other than a slight blush. He then preformed his own summoning jutsu summoning Koma and Tatyl. "Koma! I need you to patrol under the ground. Use your echolocation. Tatyl, I need you to patrol the air. I will use a scrying jutsu to know what you see, so be vigilant." He drew both his swords and crossed them behind his back. "Don't worry Vi. I'm not going to die today."
