As they finished performing the hand seals, the circle began to glow a bright blue. Kanetsu looked up at Kakashi with a gentle smile. So far, everything was going as she had intended it to. They had done the seals at the exact same time, which was only a part of it. Possibly even the easiest part. The next part would involve pain. "Ok, now you must channel your chakra into the circle. When you do, it will sense your chakra, and the seal will begin to form itself on my stomach." She informed him. "The seal will store your information after it has formed, so it knows whose genes will overshadow mine. It will hurt me quite a bit...but that doesn't matter. Whatever it is, I can handle it." This was the second part to the ceremony. The one who would have the seal placed on them would have to undergo a large amount of pain as it was being put onto them. They would feel the other person's chakra effectively boosting the pain. But if they really loved them, they wouldn't have cared, and they would put up with it. They would do whatever it takes. And that was what Kanetsu was willing to do. It was always that way for her anyway.

Hearing the fact that it would hurt Kanetsu made Kakashi wince. He didn't want to hurt her. But he knew that the pain could also represent all things that try and break love. And if Kanetsu could endure such pain, then it meant that she truly loved him. The whole seal was exceptionally thought-out. A test, even. Love was the fuel that was necessary to complete the seal. Not everybody has that. But Kakashi did. He half proved it so far. And he wasn't about to break his stream. Kakashi was ready to run his chakra through the circle, because he knew Kanetsu would endure the pain because of love, he had no doubt in his mind. He maintained his gaze on her. Placing both palms down on the ground, he concentrated. It hurt him, too, when he began to channel his chakra into the circle. It was his pure chakra, unmodified by anything. He clenched his teeth, but he too, would endure the pain. For Kanetsu. "Kanetsu...I...I l-love you...do you feel my e-energy run through to you? Feel it, K-Kanetsu." He spoke, locking his eye right with hers. The pain was apparent in his eyes, but he was sure that it was nothing compared to what Kanetsu was going to endure. The pain ebbed in Kakashi's body, but it lessened as his chakra flowed more easily into the circle, through his palm, and each individual finger. "We'll prove our love..."

Kanetsu's hands hit the ground with a forceful thud as she quickly began to feel the pain. With her fists clenched, she tried to stay calm as waves of undeniable pain started to surge through her feet first, and slowly increased until it reached her abdomen. It kept increasing a little from there to the rest of her, but almost all of the pain was on her stomach. No matter how much it hurt her, Kanetsu would endure it. She knew it would hurt, but she was never exactly sure how much. Whatever the amount, it didn't matter to her. Since that was the case, she still had prepared herself for the worst. What Kanetsu hated was that Kakashi went through a ton of pain himself. It only made her hurt more when she thought about it. Her fingers nearly made scratches in the hard floor. Although, she did feel a bit better after she had heard his voice. Knowing that he was still there, putting up with the pain with her, helped. "K-Kakashi..." Was all that she could say at that point. Soon, she felt the pain ease itself away, and the seal was on her stomach. It didn't fade yet, though. It would after the ceremony was complete, and that would mean it worked. Kanetsu took time to breath in and out to get herself back to normal. During that time, she felt a stronger blush than before creep up on her cheeks from what Kakashi had told her. "The last thing for this is...that you must put your heart against the seal..." She told him softly. It was truly the last thing they had to go through. If the seal sensed that he really truly loved her, it would work forever. If it sensed he didn't, though, it would unleash a strong chakra based attack on him, probably killing him, and the seal would fade and fail. Of course, Kanetsu had no doubt that it would sense his love.

Kakashi nodded slowly. He then slid off his shirt. "It'd be best for it to be as unblocked as possible." And he winked, making sure Hiashi couldn't see. But then, it was as if Hiashi wasn't there anymore, because Kakashi then wrapped his arms around Kanetsu's mid back. His chest was right over the seal. His heartbeat could be felt right on her stomach. He held Kanetsu there, resting on his knees. He closed his eyes. And waited. "I love you, Kanetsu." He whispered.

"Kakashi...!" She silently exclaimed as he had taken off his shirt. The sight made her face heat up even more, more than it should have in front of her clan's leader. The thing was, Hiashi had just turned away when he heard that he had to put his heart on her seal, because he knew he'd probably be shirtless. Kanetsu rested her head against his as she waited for the final judgment. She didn't sweat over it or anything. Instead, she simply wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. After everything that they had gone through that day, it was all she wanted. "Kakashi...I love you too..." And as if those words had been heard by the seal, it faded away into her stomach. And it signaled that it had worked.

Suddenly, as if on cue, Kakashi lifted Kanetsu up. He looked up to her. There was a gleam of happiness in his eyes. He was thrilled. He let her down to the ground, but he didn't let go of her. "I knew it would work, Kanetsu!" He said aloud. Having forgotten about Hiashi, he nuzzled his nose into her cheek, and held her tight against him. A few seconds later, realization swept over him, and he let go. He picked his shirt up and quickly put it on. He looked at Kanetsu. And if she was paying attention, for the first time ever, a slight blush could be seen on Kakashi's face. He collected his flak jacket and straightened it out, removing the wrinkles, and put it back on. The circle had stopped glowing. From what Kakashi could tell, it felt as if the pain had never ran its course through his body. And for once he felt as if he could simply take on the world. Not his usual self, basically. He looked at what remained of the circle. It seemed to fade. Yin and yang. Kanetsu and Kakashi. Kakashi knew for a fact that nothing would break them now. For sure. Unbreakable they now were.

Kanetsu laughed as she was picked up by Kakashi. She was undeniably overjoyed at that moment. Not even thinking about what would happen if it didn't work, she hugged him tighter than she did before. In fact, she didn't even realize that Kakashi had his shirt off. Not to mention Hiashi was still in the room. At the same time his face lit up with realization, Kanetsu's did aswell, causing her to--obviously--blush. As she went over to pick up her flak jacket, she saw something that was really never seen on Kakashi's face; a blush of his own. Kanetsu smiled at it. Soon, she noticed the circle stopped glowing it's light blue. It was then just dried blood on the ground, like it once was. Just like the seal, the circle faded, further signifying their 'victory' of sorts. Suddenly, as Kanetsu thought about the seal, she reminded herself of the effects. It arose a question in her head that she had never asked before, and would bring a massive red face. With good timing, Hiashi looked at her, and saw that they needed a few minutes alone, so he went and waited outside his own mansion, deeply impressed with the seal. Kanetsu gluped, and turned towards Kakashi. "...Um...Kaka? There's...kind of been something I wanted to...um...ask you." She began, taking a deep breath. "Now that I have this seal...I thought it would be the right time to ask you...when do you...um...want to....have...children?" She asked, stuttering and stratching her cheek in a nervous way.

Placing his elbow in one hand, and putting the other hand on his chin in a thoughtful position, Kakashi stood quiet. "Well it all depends. It depends on making preparations and notifying the village of this, because it would require your absence. That could take time." He looked at her. He had a bit of a stern look in his eye. "But, I suppose the soonest would be in 6 month for a little Hatake!" He then said, smiling under his mask. He pulled Kanetsu in against him, and held her there. He pulled down his mask, and pressed his lips against hers. "It's up to you." He then whispered, "I'm okay with any decision you make.

While both smiling and blushing, Kanetsu simply put her arms around Kakashi and squeezed him in a loving way. However, when he pulled down his mask and she felt his lips on hers, her face became a stronger shade of crimson. After that, she rested her head against his shoulder. Compared to his height, she only came up to about his shoulder anyway. "Ok...I just wanted to know how you stood on that important matter." She told him softly. In the meantime, the sun outside was almost completely down, and the moon had came up. The sunset had turned the skies orange with hints of pink and yellow. It was truly a beautiful sight. "I think our business here is done for today..." She whispered, nuzzling his shoulder.

Kakashi smiled. "Want to go to the park and watch the sunset? You need to relax. The seal put a whole lot of strain on our bodies." He said, "We're bound to feel the ache in a few hours. We can just rest our bodys." His grip around her tightened. He took a deep breath to help relax himself. He already felt the previous strain make a course through his body as the aftermath. After all, don't they say love hurts?

Kanetsu nodded, and smiled right back at him. "Sounds like a good plan." She told him, squeezing him just a little more for a second. He was right, she did feel almost completely exhausted after how that day had gone. There had been a ton of yelling and pain, both physically and somewhat mentally. Now that it was over, and she was in fact bound to feel more pain in a while, Kanetsu agreed. Suddenly, a shock of pain washed over her. She didn't flinch, but it had still hurt quite a bit. However, it was nothing compared to what they had gone through earlier. But, they had gone through that together, and would go through the aftershocks of pain together.
As Hiashi went outside, he obviously took the time to absorb everything he had seen today into his mind. He had never seen someone do what Kanetsu and Kakashi had just done that day. They had walked into the compound and gotten straight to the point; they wanted to be together. He understood that part, but he had to do what was best for the clan. However, once Kanetsu said that she had something that would fix the problem, he was immediately interested. Even though he knew that there would be basically no troubles after that, he still wanted to see if he truly loved her by making him spar. He hadn't gone full force; in fact, neither of them had. It was only a training session of sorts. Kakashi had proved himself extremely well, and at that point, he approved. Hiashi may have only heard about the seal at that point, but after seeing it in motion, he became even more intrigued. Every step preformed was like a test of love. And they had passed each one with flying colors. He payed close attention to the entire ceremony, and now had it memorized. So if anyone else would need to preform it, he could guide them without having to have Kanetsu there. Hiashi smiled a small smile. "Hosaki...Kyuka...she really is your child, isn't she?" He whispered, looking up at the sky.

"It would be best for you to lead the way out." Kakashi said, pulling his mask back up. He adjusted his clothes and made everything wrinkle-free, a perfectionist kind of action. He pulled away from Kanetsu, and smiled. "After you, of course." He said, pointing a hand to the door. He made a small nod of sorts, maybe signifying that they'd be able to be "free" soon. He wanted to maintain a respectful position while inside the Hyuga territory, and so he did. Standing up straight, the thought went through his head that he would have to keep proving himself to Hiashi. Prove that he really had what it takes to, eventually, take Kanetsu's hand in marriage, parenthood, shinobihood, and as being her love. It was no doubt in anyone's mind that Kakashi was a person of pure heart. A man, a true shinobi, and a true friend. But Kakashi would have to prove, not only to Hiashi and the Hyuga's, but the rest of the world, that he truly loved Kanetsu. So far the seal was proof. But only Hiashi saw that proof. As her mate, Kakashi knew protecting her would be one way of proof. And there was also one thing Kakashi was prepared for. He was prepared for judgement and bias. People that wouldn't accept his unconditional love. People who would blind themselves from seeing the very proof. And people who just don't care. But, ironically, it would be the proof Kakashi needed to show the ones that did approve of the love Kakashi holds is true. Because he wouldn't give a care in the world to it. As Kakashi held out his arm, he felt a pang of harsh pain. He winced a bit. He could have supressed it, but doing so would make enduring the pain worse. So he let the pain go in the one way he knew best. He concluded that letting the pain show physically would let it escape, like the pressure in a soda bottle that's opened. Suppressing it would increase the pressure, therefore increasing the pain, but letting it go would prevent that. Letting that pain show would let the gas escape into free air.

"Thank you..." Kanetsu said lightly. She looked back to where they had made the circle one more time before exiting, just to make sure that she had left nothing behind. It was something she had always done multiple times before leaving a place. She had done that her entire life, because she really hated to forget things. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw wince a bit in pain. She hated to see him in any sort of pain, and physical pain was no exception. She slid the door open, before whispering to him. "Are you ok?" She whispered with concern, taking a step out the door, leaving room for him to exit as well. In a matter of seconds, she immediately prepared for the barrage of looks that they were about to receive again, both good and bad. A few of the more naive Hyuga just didn't understand it; they loved each other. They didn't think that it could be as simple as that; they thought that there had to be more reasoning behind wanting to be near Kanetsu. They thought Kakashi just wanted her Byakugan. But that reason was completely stupid to Kanetsu. Sure, she loved her clan and cared about everyone in it. But, Kanetsu also had those times where she would wonder why they were so stubborn. Especially her fellow main house members. They always wanted to keep the two branches separate. Many people, including Kanetsu, thought it'd be better if they were all united as one, instead of split, which has always caused bad blood.

"I'll be fine, Kanetsu. Just letting the pain steam out." He smiled. Lightly stepping out after Kanetsu, he already felt the prying and watching eyes of the Hyuga's. He felt the hostility in some, curiosity in others, but no friendliness in any except Kanetsu's, and now Hiashi's, eyes. But he didn't care. He was feeling so carefree, despite the pain that kept streaming through him here and there. He hardly even noticed the gazes he carried. He looked up at the sky. A brilliant scarlet. Kakashi loved it. There were a few clouds in the sky that reflected the sun's crimson rays, and it illuminated the sky. A sunset. A fleck of yellow here and there, and even pink, made the sky even more extraordinary. Straight up, the sky was a purple maroon kind of color. A few stars, though very dim, could be seen. It turned pink, then scarlet as it was closer to the horizon. The sun was a quarter submerged in the trees. Suddenly, Kakashi took Kanetsu's hand.

When Kanetsu felt her taped hand being taken by Kakashi's gloved one, a tiny bit of redness appeared on her cheeks. However, she didn't really care that her clan was there to witness it. It was something that they had to see, further proof that they were together. It might have set a few of them off, however, it wasn't important. When other people looked at Hiashi, who was standing there, not giving them any type of threatening look, they realized that if he saw that Kakashi wasn't any type of enemy, then it had to be true. Sure, a few of them still wouldn't believe it, but those types of people would either come around and realize it one day, or just be stubborn forever. Kanetsu soon looked up once again at the beautiful skies. After seeing what had happened that day, such an ending would seem unlikely, but that was apparently not the case. Hyuga children rushed outside to view the colorful spectacle. They oohed and awed as some of them began to interact with each other, playing small games of tag and hide-and-seek. When they turned around and saw the two, the children smiled and waved. Kanetsu smiled and waved back, giggling lightly.
