((OOC: I feel I should give a warning at this point. I like everyone here, I really do. Kenji isn't a happy guy and takes it out on others, I am playing him as such.))
Kenji grumbled as he walked, really annoyed that he had to see the Hokage. As far as he was concerned, he was still on break, and so she better have had a good reason to bother him. He walked past shops and home, casting angry glares at almost anyone within eyeshot. People disgusted him. As much as he hated to admit it, more than some of Danzo had rubbed off on him. He hated the man, hated Root, hated everything they did and stood for. Yet, despite of so much hate for the things he did to get strong, he hated the weak. He hated those who couldn’t protect themselves, who were fooled and tricked easily. Only the toughest and smart of ninja gained any respect from the bitter Roots member.
After a good amount of time had pasted, due in part to Kenji slow rate of movement, he walked up to the door of the Hokage‘s‘s office. Sure, he could move quickly when he wanted to, and he was sure Tsunade wanted him there ASAP, but at the end of the day, she had called him, and he would get there when he damn well pleased. At least, that logic made sense in his mind. Not exactly a respectful attitude, but again, he was a product of Danzo, he needed to lash out at something.
Kenji sighed as he made it up the doors of the Hokage's office, thinking about just barging, but stopping when he saw the group of fellow Jounins, one of whom he recognized as the brat from earlier. Rather than join them, he stood off to the side, away from those he probably should call comrades. Yet, he had no desire to befriend them, or even converse with them. No, standing off in the corner, hanging out all alone, that is what he wanted.

Kenji let out a little chuckle as this man spoke with that weird philosophical style he was so used to hearing from his Chuunin. He found it endearing when Yuudai used it, but here it was just plan silly. This man here was as least several years his junior and was talking like he was wise and all knowing. This man knew nothing, as proven by comments of arrogance. This man had no idea what Kenji had to do to get where he was, how many of his friends he had to slaughter in order to please Danzo. He became the best because he was able to survive, to beat people who thought they had won. This man could call him filth all he wanted, but he had no idea, no sense of how just Kenji was. Especially since he wasn’t planning on killing the child, just crippling him.
And then introduced himself, and Kenji couldn’t help but laugh, which was surely offsetting. After all, Kai had to thought he had won, This was perfect, just perfect. Yuudai had spoken of this man, who he had referred to as proud and strong, worthy of protecting this village. Kenji had in truth wanted to test this, mostly because Yuudai rarely spoke highly of anyone. He wanted this village to have strong protectors as much as the next person, to weed out the weak so the village would be able to save itself when attacked. This was all just too perfect. “Kai huh?” he said as if he was on familiar terms with him, “the way Yuudai spoke of you made you out to be more competent.”
Then Kenji heard the young Genin speak, which cause him to sigh. Suddenly, the clone of Kenji in front of Kai dissipated, the chakra lingering there for mere moments before Kenji walked back out onto the path. “Did you really think I would just waltz out into the open?” Kenji questioned the Jounin in front of him, “that is how people get themselves killed.” He shook his head, almost as if he was disappointed with him. “Whatever,” he added, still a little annoyed, “seem according to the brat I have to go see the old bat, I will deal with the pests later.” He began to walk past Kai, but suddenly stopped, turning to face him, “by the way, since it seems you aren’t busy, you might want to walk back to where I was and deal with the seals. Wouldn’t want some stupid Genin to get mauled now, would we?” And with that he tucked his hands into his pockets and began to head toward the Hokage office. Sure, he wasn’t exactly racing there, but she could wait for him.

Kenji didn’t even flinch as Kai moved behind him, feeling the hand on his shoulder. He could tell almost immediately that this man was used to taijutsu from his grip on Kenji’s shoulder, Though Kenji was more than sure he would be able to fend him off, he didn’t like being so close to a taijutsu user. He had taken blows from the likes from some of the best taijutsu users, and he wasn’t looking forward to breaking another rib. He knew the man was fast, but he would be more than able to neutralize that if he could put some distance between him, if it came to blows.
Besides, it wasn’t like he had his heart dead set on hurting people. He was going to yell, rant, threaten, and be an all round boy thingy so they would all shut up. He was ready to use techniques, but they were going to be more for affect than anything. After all, they were just kids, even if one of them was an ANBU, he knew how it would reflect upon him if he seriously injured a child. No, scolding and arguing was all he had planned in store of them. They were only annoying him after all…
Did that brat just throw a kunai at him? There was no way in hell Kenji was about to let some brat get away with that. He could feel his muscle tense up as he got angrier and angrier. “You might want to let go of me,” he said to Kai, using his regular speaking voice, “otherwise you may get hurt when I break that brat in two.” Kenji was already formulating a plan to break away from Kai, already assuming that he wasn’t just about to let he go run rampant at the child who had managed to anger him so. He was going to have to avoid using some techniques by Danzo’s orders, but he would manage without them.

I am mostly on Ipokemon due to my earning of mod status there, thus I feel if I am on, I should be on there. I really only go on smogon when I want to play a lot with people I don't know.

I play, though I don't have HG/SS yet, as I lost my Platinum. I do battle on shoddy quite a bit though and like to think of myself as not sucky at it.

Kenji snarled as he heard the girl shout back at him. To put it simply, he wasn’t in the mood for backtalk. He let his angry stir for a moment, he letting build up so he would be able to word things exactly right when he confronted the noisy children. He looked over at the chakra tiger, still menacingly stalking the area. “This shouldn’t even take me five minutes,” he told it, knowing that even though it wouldn’t respond to words. And with that, he slowly walked towards the source of the noise, his eyebrow furled in rage.
“Listen brats!” he yelled as he walked, almost announcing his arrival, “today has been a long day! Hell, this has been a long week! I don’t give a damn if this is a public place! You children better learn some damn respect and shut your damn mouths!” And with that, Kenji made his way to the clearing, arms crossed, attempting to look menacing.
However, Kenji knew he didn’t look very scary. Sure, he looked mean, bitter, angry even, but menacing? Scary? Nah. He wasn’t very tall, and he sure wasn’t bulky at all. In fact, it wouldn’t be far off to call him scrawny. Some had said he looked more like a Chuunin than a Jounin, and he was sure this would be the case here as well. It wasn’t his fault he looked so weak, but he had accepted it a long time ago. Besides, made it all the more satisfying when defeated opponents.

Kenji had hoped they would just shut up, but apparently just staying silent was only making the voices converge. He knew he couldn’t just stay quiet anymore, as the muffled chatter showed little sign of ending. He went over his options in his head, trying to settle on what he should do. He thought about maybe just leaving, but he decided that would take work. After all, he had already set up this spot with his seal and everything, why should he leave? He contemplated just ending them with his Nichi no Owari, obliterating the cause of the sounds, but quickly shut down that idea. He knew what Danzo would do if they managed to get away after he revealed one of his trump cards. He let out a sigh, knowing his only real option was peaceful negotiation. Time to pull out that famous Hiraga charm.
“HEY BRATS! WILL YA SHUT UP?!? THIS IS SOME PEOPLE’S BREAK TIME!” shouted out Kenji angrily. This was indeed the most polite the bitter Jounin could be. Besides, he could only hear their muffled talking, maybe they would need him to shout to hear his voice. Or maybe he was trying to justify being a boy thingy. Either way, he hoped they got the message.
Besides, it wasn’t like they would attack him. After all, they were all from Konoha… in theory at least. If they weren’t, then Kenji wouldn’t hesitate to make quick work of them. He hadn’t had a decent battle in a good, long time.

“What a waste” muttered the sitting form of Kenji Hiraga, resting his head on his hand. His flat jacket clung to his body, not exactly a sure fire protection against assaults, but good enough to deflect ranged attacks. After all, getting in close played into the bitter ninja’s plan. After all, he had already placed a Fuuin Bakkyo (White Tiger Seal) surrounding him, offering the protection of a tiger formed of chakra. Kenji just watched it as it walked around him, emotionlessly stalking non existent prey. “The one time I summon this thing, people aren’t going by to bother me,” the ninja continued, completely to himself.
There was a time he wasn’t so cold and distant, there was a time he was filled with warmth towards others and a determination to improve. However, ever since his training with Danzo, he found himself becoming jaded, unable to care about anything. He hated the man who had trained him, even thinking about killing his teacher on several occasions. However, because of the seal placed upon him, he knew this was impossible. Danzo would freeze him in place and kill him on the spot, and Kenji wasn’t ready to give his life away for nothing, no matter how much he complained about it.
The one thing he looked forward to was working with his Chuunin Yuudai. Despite the hard exterior the Jounin showed to the young boy, he was quite proud of him. It was very clear that Yuudai was a good kid, always with the right intention, even if he was confusing as all hell most of the time. Hell, Yuudai even had the ability to over power him if he ever got his chakra under control. That was the one thing Kenji wanted to see before he finally died, the kid he worked so hard with never have to worry about scarifying himself ever again.
And that was when he heard the sounds. Was children? Or teenagers? Eh, not like he cared, maybe if he stayed quiet they would leave.

Yuudai bit his lips as Hae offered to take his punishment, trying his best to not rudely interrupt her in front of the Hokage. Though he appreciated her willingness to stick up for him, it wasn’t needed. Yuudai was more concerned about protecting her from punishment than his own well being. After all, he was the one who knew the rules, she had been blindly led by him… well, semi-blindly, as there were situations he would have handled differently if she had revealed him information beforehand. But that was in the past, and Yuudai knew they would have likely still been caught no matter what.
Yuudai didn’t know whether to be happy with the Hokage’s decision or not. He was getting off scot-free, but he wanted to at least see the punishment that would have been laid out for him. Oh well, this was for the better. He gave the Hokage another deep bow, signaling his departure. “Hokage-sama,” he added as the deepest part of his bow. He stood as straight as his body would allow as he exited the room, choosing not to answer Kai in the Hokage’s presence. After all, it wouldn’t have been things that hadn’t been said already, so he would rather save his breath.
Yuudai hoped Hae didn’t mind the Jounin joining them for their meal. After all, Yuudai was willing to be giving and he doubted the Jounin would be spending the night like she was. He figured Kai would only stay for the food, maybe a little after to make sure the Chuunin stayed out of trouble. He figured the little gesture of kindness he gave the man who had sought to punish them was a good thing. He held no resentment towards the man, who in the end, was only doing his job.

"I deemed it more important to lie to Jounin-Sensei than to follow the rules," replied Yuudai, straightening up. He answered as honestly as he could, knowing that by lying now, he would force the two Chuunin into unfavorable circumstances once again. "I knew the rules, knew that I risked punishment, and broke them anyways," Yuudai continued, his blue eyes staring into the back of the Hokage's head, "I deserve punishment."
Yuudai knew it would be much better to end this here, taking all the blame himself. He figured if he could pass himself off as the ringleader, Hae would be spared. not only that, if the Hokage decided his fate now, maybe she wouldn't look further into the matter and punishment the guards who had let them in. He knew it would be better this way, to carry the weight of the punishment all by himself, because he knew he could take it.
That is when Yuudai heard Kai's stomache growl and almost without thinking turned to face him. "Jounin-sensei, when this is all over, would you like to stop by my place? I am sure my parents prepared food for my return, and though I am sure it will be cold, I would be more than glad to share some with you," he asked. Sure, between Kai and Hae he would be left with little to no food, but he was okay with that. It wasn't like he ate a lot as it was.

Yuudai nodded to Kai, standing up and signaling for Hae to follow him. He walked into the Hokage office, bowing deeply upon seeing her. He held his hands tightly against his side, his eyes planted on the floor. He knew she was probably staring at him, watching him for any sign of disrespect. “Hokage-sama,” were the only words he let leave his lips. He didn’t plan on completing his bow until he was given permission.

Yuudai let out a little sigh as he exited the Hokage’s room, shaking his head a little in order to ground himself a little. It wasn’t so much that he was afraid of what was going to happen to him, whatever punishment was decided upon, he would survive. No, he was worried how the Hokage would react to Hae. It didn’t seem like she was the violent, destructive type, like he heard the Raikage was like. Still, having her stand there, alone, face to face with the widely accepted most powerful member of Konoha, and perhaps most powerful person within the entire Land of Fire, he couldn’t do that.
Yuudai turned as Hae began to speak, watching her advert her eyes. He could easily see the embarrassment she felt, and he didn’t blame her. After all, many of the villages didn’t take kindly to visitors already, and those that didn’t know the rules where frowned upon even more. Though Yuudai’s traveling was limited to mostly stealth related missions, he had once or twice been forced into formal situations, and had always gotten something wrong. He didn’t let it eat at him, but he knew the stares he had gotten, and what they could do to a person. And then she got to her apology, and he shook his head a little. He was honestly annoyed by it in the moment, but now? He had already gotten over it, after all, what was the harm in it? Would it have really done that much if she had told them earlier?
He watched as she slumped down, groaning as she did. Yuudai listened as she voiced her embarrassment, clearly feeling the pressure of it all. He felt bad for her, wanting to be of more help than he was. He kneeled down in front of her, forgetting for a moment that he was still wearing his mask, and smiled. “Tell you what,” he began, trying to get her to focus on other things, “After all this is done, I will see if the Hokage will let us on top of the mountain to see the sunrise. If she doesn’t, we will head to my home, eat whatever leftover there are, get some sleep, and then in the morning we can explore Konoha.” He was sure that his parents had already gone to bed, but they would leave food out for them, knowing that he would be home at some point.

Yuudai sighed a little as Hae followed Kai in. That probably didn’t work in his favor. He knew Kai would want to talk about him first, and having Hae enter would no doubt agitate Kai more than he already was. Yuudai took a deep breath before entering the room after Hae. He stared at Kai and the Hokage as they sat across from one another. He wasn’t sure if the Hokage saw him, but he gave a deep bow and had audibly enough, “Good evening Hokage-Sama.”
Yuudai then turned to Hae who was standing behind Kai, clearly nervous. Yuudai would even go as far as to say that she was uncomfortable. He lightly placed his hand on her shoulder, in order to get her attention. He planned on leading her out into the hall, so the Hokage and Kai would talk about him in peace.
