Kakashi took her hand.
"Relax, my love. I know it'll turn out fine." He said, grinning under his mask. Happiness could be seen in his eyes.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Once Kakashi had taken Kanetsu's hand in his, Kanetsu held it tightly, just for comfort. She was desperately trying just to get all of the terrible thoughts involving her clan out of her head, but it was inevitable. And it was obviously only going to get worse when they got there anyway. Additionally, she seemed to notice that Kakashi...well...he was acting really happy. Really optimistic. She looked at him with an eyebrow raised.
"You know, you've been really optimistic lately. More than usual." She stated, leading him towards a shortcut in the forest that would allow them to get there quicker.

"You know why? Because being with you has made my life so much brighter."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu stopped for a moment after he spoke. The words were slowly, but surely circulating through her mind. Seconds passed, and soon a smile was spread across her face. Kanetsu turned around and gave Kakashi one of the biggest hugs that she had ever given him. She nuzzled his chest tenderly.
"Kakashi...having you say that...it just means so much to me..." She whispered to him. "When you're happy...well, it obviously just makes me really happy too."

The two were actually almost to the Hyuga estate, since Kanetsu had decided to cut through the forest as a shortcut. Which meant that they only needed a few more minutes before they would face destiny.

"Kanetsu. Promise you'll be strong. Promise you'll be brave. For the both of us. For our love."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Kanetsu still had him in her hug. This time, she lifted her head to his,and rested her forehead on his.
"I promise..." Was all she said to him. And with that, she led him toward the Hyuga estate, still covered in their blanket.

Neji and Hinata waited somewhat eagerly for the arrival of their second cousin. Meanwhile, Hiashi was waiting inside, until he heard Hinata exclaim something.
"S-she's here!" Hinata said, sensing a chakra that belonged to a Hyuga, and another one as well. Hiashi walked outside, looking around for Kanetsu. So...she's here at last. Finally....Kanetsu...we will see how much you've grown in the time you have been gone. Hiashi thought, looking around.

Well...here we go. It's now or never! Kanetsu thought, stepping out of the forest with Kakashi.

Kakashi relaxed....or at least he tried to. But he hid his nervousness so well under a veil of calm.
I hope things turn out okay....I'm not exactly anymore confident as Kanetsu...but I have to live through this. For her. He thought. His eyes inspected the Hyuga territory. And he felt like he was being watched.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

As Kanetsu finally came into his view, he noticed something with her. Actually, it was more like someone was with her. Before he even noticed who it was, he was already beginning to get angry.
What in the world? He questioned. Hinata and Neji looked over to Hiashi, and immediately began to notice that he was was not to happy about what he was seeing. There had probably never been any non-Hyuga in their territory, except for Burakku. The Hyugas didn't like anyone who wasn't a part of the clan in their territory, since they were all very protective of their Kekkei Genkai. And nobody really blamed them for that, after all, it was a smart decision.
Wait, isn't that Kakashi Hatake? He thought as he finally figured it out. He could obviously tell by the gravity-defying sliver hair on his head that could be seen a mile away. Everyone knew that sliver haired ninja, since he was feared throughout the lands. But it still didn't explain why Kanetsu had brought him here, especially when she knew better.
Soon enough, the two finally reached where Hiashi was. Hinata and Neji gathered there as well. Kanetsu bowed to Hiashi.
"Thank you for allowing us to come, Lord Hiashi." She then bowed to Hinata and Neji too. All three returned the bow.

Kakashi pulled away from Kanetsu, and bowed.
"Greeting." He said respectfully. He stood up straight and tall to show respect. He noticed the veil of hostility around him, but completely hid his nervousness.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Hiashi appreciated the respect from Kakashi, and bowed towards him in return.
"Welcome, Kakashi..." However, he then turned his attention to Kanetsu. "Excuse me for a moment, I would like to speak to Kanetsu alone." He said, walking away from the group. It was a signal for Kanetsu to follow him, and she did almost without hesitation. The only thing she did was whisper silently toward Kakashi.
"I'll be right back...don't worry..."
As soon as Kanetsu broke away from the group as well, Hiashi immediately began to question her. Kanetsu knew that there was going to be yelling and such, and with Hiashi, she even expected it to happen this quickly. He did not take kindly to 'strangers' in the Hyuga clan territory. If he or she wasn't a Hyuga, Hiashi refused to let them any where near the place, let alone inside.
In fact, most of the elders of the clan supported this decision greatly. They would trust no one, no one at all. This support became more frequent throughout the clan after Burakku destroyed Kanetsu's parents, and even some of the night time guards. And it was all just a game for him, all for what he would call 'fun'. That is, if he wasn't rotting dead and all alone right now.
Some of the members of the Hyuga clan came outside. They were feeling a alien presence in the safety of their area, and it disturbed them greatly. Even some of the elderly members of the clan came out, ready to defend themselves. But they would soon see that it was all true, that there was really someone who wasn't a Hyuga in their estate.
As soon as they saw who the person was, they weren't sure whether to be scared or not. Sure, all of them knew who Kakashi was. Everyone did, really. But that was the thing. Most of them trusted him, but a portion of the Hyugas thought that he could be trying to obtain yet another Kekkei Genkai. Especially since he already had one; the sharingan. But anyone who thought that was foolish, or too young to understand perhaps.
"Kanetsu, why is there a non-Hyuga clan member in our estate? You know very well that this is prohibited, and doing this could result in serious punishment-" But before he could continue his speech, Kanetsu interrupted him.
"Hiashi, you don't think I already know that?"
"Then what is your reason for bringing him here?"
"I brought him here so we could discuss some...important matters." Hiashi's mind paused as soon as she said that, then it suddenly sped up, trying to think of what she could possibly be talking about.
"What would you be referring to?" Hiashi questioned.
"Well..." Kanetsu swallowed, preparing for what she was about to say, and Hiashi's reaction. "Marriage and children outside of the clan."
Hiashi froze.

Kakashi stood silent.
Kanetsu, you better be one with a way with words... He then looked at Hinata and Neji.
"I can see the development of both of you..." he whispered. "superior...."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Hinata and Neji both looked at Kakashi simultaneously.
"S-superior? What do you mean, Kakashi-sensei? Hinata replied to his comment. She stuttered for two reasons at the moment. One, it was cold. Two, she was in the presence of someone she had respect for. Hinata was getting better at being more confident and less fidgety around people, but she still occasionally had her stuttering moments.

"Your chakra levels." He said. He smiled with his eyes. "And how much they've developed. Something a Hyuga especially needs, no?"

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Neji stared at him as he discovered that Kakashi had known more than they had originally thought. He knew some of this knowledge was from being with Kanetsu, and some of it was just from being a ninja throughout the years. This type of knowledge was good--it meant that he had been paying attention to Kanetsu closely. It had also meant that she had trusted him enough to allow him to obtain this knowledge. In fact, with Kanetsu being the enigma that she was, she would have to trust him completely. Not only trust him, but...love him.
With that very thought in mind, Neji actually began to smile a bit.
"Indeed..."


"I see...so that's why you brought him here..." Honestly, Hiashi had no idea what to say. He would have never expected Kanetsu to have said that. He wouldn't have even expected her to have even found someone that she would want to have such close bonds with. Even though he was happy for her somewhere deep inside of his heart, he still did not want a non-Hyuga having anything to do with one of his clan members.
"Kanetsu...this is not a good idea."
"I had a feeling that you were going to say that Hiashi. Please, allow me to explain-" Hiashi cut her off.
"I will not allow any excuses. The Hyuga clan bloodline needs to stay pure. I do not want our precious Kekkei Genkai going out of this clan, understand?" He replied with force. "Why would you even try such a foolish stunt like this, when you've always known that this is a common rule within our clan?"
Anger and frustration began to boil up inside of Kanetsu.
"Why else do you think I would try? I am trying because I love him!"
Their conversation was gradually becoming louder.

Kakashi began to hear the coversation.
"Stay strong Kanetsu." He muttered under his breath.
