( {Family Reunion} is continued from !*Plot*! The Hidden Leaf's Last Stand. Since the previous thread had multiple people, this one continues from Kakashi and Kanetsu's side of the story. It takes place the day after the war ended)
Kanetsu awoke peacefully the next day. She quietly yawned, and gently stretched, trying not to wake Kakashi up if he was still asleep. She took a look at him. His hair was slightly messy, more than usual, anyway. He still had his mask off, and she spotted gentle breaths of air escaping from his lips.
He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping... Kanetsu thought, unknowingly smiling. She inched forward carefully to wrap her arms around his chest, laying on his shoulder, and nuzzling his neck.

Kakashi laid there. He was gently breathing, and in a deep sleep. He didn't feel Kanetsu.
He wasn't dreaming, and he mindlessly wrapped his arms around Kanetsu.

Kanetsu blushed slightly. For a second, she thought she had awaken him. But it appeared that he was still fast asleep. She looked at his uncovered left eye, where his battle scar ran down his eyelid. Kanetsu didn't care what anyone else thought about it, she loved it. Heck, she loved every little detail about him.
Kanetsu saw him still breathing gently, and noticed his lips were slightly parted. She leaned in to kiss him lovingly and warmly, and then she rested her forehead on his, her arms still wrapped around him.

At the touch of Kanetsu's lips, Kakashi slowly woke up. As he saw Kanetsu's face right there in fromt of him, he gave her a warm smile.
"Good morning my love." Kakashi blinked the sleep from his eyes, and streched a bit. He hugged her. He placed a finger on her cheek, and gently ran his finger over it. It was soft. He put that hand on the back of her head, and pulled her toward him, and kissed her back.

Kanetsu blushed slightly as Kakashi touched her cheek with his thumb. When he kissed her, her face became even more red. It would always be like this, he would do something and she would blush madly. But she couldn't help it. She loved him, so it was only natural that his actions toward her would make her face warm and red. Her mind was scrambled after the kiss.
"Good morning, Kaka." She said, smiling at him warmly. "How do you feel today? Does your body feel fine after yesterday?"

Kakashi just smiled.
"I feel fine. Fresh." He kissed her cheek.
He looked out his window.
"It looks like a nice day out, doesn't it?"

Kanetsu smiled.
"That's great." She replied, running a hand through his hair. It felt so smooth and soft. She took a look out the window aswell.
"The snow stopped...it make me wonder how wet it is outside right now." She hugged him tightly, and once again placed her forehead on his. Their noses touched.

"Thanks Kaka." She smiled. Kanetsu looked around outside. Little piles of snow were still present, but they were slowly melting. It was similar to how anything Kakashi did would melt Kanetsu's heart and soul. He could be doing nothing and she would melt. "It looks like it snowed all night...it could have even hailed a bit." Kanetsu commented. But, she spotted something half inside the window. "What is this...?" She said, reaching toward the window to grab it. "It's...a letter. But from who?" Kanetsu opened it while still sitting on Kakashi. She unfolded the paper that was inclosed inside. She read it. Dear Kanetsu,
It's been awhile since we have seen you. An entire nine years...yes, it's been way too long, hasn't it? Well, to get to the point, the Hyuga clan would like to invite you for a visit. We have all agreed that it would be great to get to see you again. After all, you are part of the family.
And Kanetsu...we know about you and Kakashi. But, we didn't tell Hiashi about that part. In fact, we support it. We're happy that you're happy. We know that you have to have something up your sleeve, otherwise Hiashi would...well, he would be extremely angry. So we want you to bring Kakashi tomorrow, and take care of the situation. You have us as support, so don't feel deserted.
We would have given you this in person, but we didn't want to disturb you in your sleep.
We will see you there.
~Neji and Hinata Kanetsu smiled at the note. "Kakashi...it looks like we're going to a family reunion." |

Kakashi read the note from behind Kanetsu.
"Well. I didn't expect us to stay secret for long. Especially for your clan." He let out a chuckle. He smiled at Kanetsu.

"Yeah...just don't take it the wrong way if Hiashi immediately rejects the idea. He obviously will at first...but...I do have something up my sleeve." Kanetsu replied. She hugged him. "What I have in store...solves all the problems." Kanetsu kissed him and embraced him tightly, not letting go.

Kakashi smiled.
"Well I'm sure he can't really get in the way of true love, now can he? He can't stop either of us from loving each other." He hugged her, and lifted her off the bed. He laid back with her, gently rubbing her stomach. He kissed her cheek, and turned her around. She faced him, and was on top of him. His arms were around her, and his hands rested on her back. He simply smiled at her.
"Words can't really describe how much I love you." He stroked her hair, marveling at how soft it really was. He looked into her eyes. To him, they were simply beautiful. Not because they were Hyuga, but simply because they belonged to Kanetsu. He studied her face. He felt her cheeks, and to him they felt soft, and a bit rosy when she wasn't blushing.
To him, she was just simply perfect. They say that nobody's perfect. But alas, that's not really true. In the eyes of Kakashi...Kanetsu was simply as perfect as perfect could get.
Kakashi sat up with her, and he continued to stare into Kane's eyes.
"Kanetsu...I haven't told you yet? How beautiful you are. Cause you simply are."

Kanetsu's face continuously got warmer and warmer as time passed. She tried to control it, but it proved useless when trying to hide it from him. Absolutely no one else could make her blush like that. She attempted to hide her red face by nuzzling his chest, but she seriously doubt it would do anything. Kanetsu thought her face could have been releasing steam since it was so hot.
"I...uh...Kaka..." She stuttered. Kanetsu was incapable of words at times like this. Red and uncapable of talking...she could be mistaken for a giant tomato.
But...what he said earlier...was right. Nobody can deny true love. Especially the extreme amount I feel for him... She thought.
