Violet was casually walking through the streets of the village, seemingly only minding her own business. But, in fact, she was on her way to go see Hayate. They were gonna spend the day together simply relaxing. The week had been filled with many different missions. Weird ones. Violet couldn't help but wonder why the Hokage had her doing such strange missions, such as digging an underground cavern, in such peacetimes. No threats of war were around, and it seemed it would last at least another year. But she never even thought about questioning the Hokage's motives. Apparently there had to be some sort of reason. After all, the Lady Hokage wouldn't waste time, effort, and money on a meaningless project. Violet simply came to the conclusion that maybe it was for some sort of storage area. Or maybe even a special location for rituals of some important sense. She passed almost carelessly through the street by running children playing a game of "ninjas." A paper shuriken hit her side, and she stopped and took notice. She made no smile or grimace, but simply acknowledged the shuriken. She watched as a boy ran up to retrieve his toy. "Sorry!" He said, running off. Violet shrugged her shoulders. She began to remember when she was young. Her father already had her training by that young age, but nothing intesive. Only the most basic of skills. It never ruined her innocence. However, she became fond of the sword, and would always imagine herself being the best swordsman of her clan. And, indeed, she was. She took that thought into prideful consideration. Her father would be proud of her, and how well she's taken care of the clan. There have been times where she would be sent on S rank missions, for the sake of her clan. Preventing war. Preventing the death of innocent lives. Yet, through all this (and after the vigorous training that would rank Violet as an elite jounin), she was still innocent. Still a bit of a child. Still able to go on through life as she perfers. She made it to Hayate's building. She knocked on the door. She looked around, taking in the surroundings. There was a single whisp of a cloud in the deep blue sky. A whisp of hope, perhaps, in the midst of solitude. She smiled. It was a really warm day, but she still had on her usual attire, but her scarf missing. The sleeves were also gone. Her spring outfit. *** Ruby groaned as she aimed, and shot. Right on target. Her arrow pierced through three logs, each as percise as a microsurgeon's work. "How many more of these damn logs do I have to shoot? This is rather pointless, Alastr." She said grumpily. "Until I get tired." He said bluntly. "You're not the one who has to do this!""You're right. I'm not. I'm the one who's using up all my chakra. You've gotta learn more endurance, Ruby. It's getting pretty slothy lately.""Well I need some damn missions, not this crap!" She jumped down from the tree and crossed her arms. She was wearing the usual Konoha wear: flak jacket, ninja shorts, and a shirt that happened to cover her entire upper body. Her sword was strapped to her back, perpendicular to the quiver she also had strapped on. Alastr approached her. He was wearing a white T-shirt, ninja pants, and some guantlets. Glam was strapped to his back. He wrapped his arms around Ruby and kissed her forehead. Ruby dropped her bow, and let her legs give out in order to spite Alastr. "Ah, fine. We're done. I'll talk to Violet about giving you some missions herself. Since ANBU doesn't need you these peaceful days." He whispered. "This is so unusual! Even during peacetime, I'd expect more missions than the ones I've been getting this past week. A fricken cavern with seemingly no use whatsoever! Something's gone wrong with Lady Hokage's mind.""I wouldn't think so, Ruby. Just be glad, okay?""I want some action. Some death." Coming from Ruby, it was normal talk. She was fond of violence, after all. She was the one who didn't fear death, either to herself or others. If she had to bring it to others, so be it. She'd always make a mess of it if she could (but not often, and tried not to overdo it. After all, she WAS a civil Konoha shinobi. In fact, she's only brutally killed 6 ninja on missions). She loved to watch the thrill of battle. Her passion. She didn't fear death. She would protect and die for her comrads at will. "Well...I don't know what to tell you. We'll see these next couple of weeks." Alastr said, letting out a sigh.

Hayate opened the door, already dressed in his clothes. He had taken a change of pace for the spring, and had his Jonin jacket colored black. He had a white T-shirt and black pants on, and his hair was styled up in its usual way. The only difference from his usual street atire, was the long-sword on his belt.. "Violet..." He began. The tone in his voice made it obvious he was about to come find her. "I've thought about it. I think we should go talk to Lady Tsunade." His eyes were a solid mask, though he still showed a touch of fear in the way he fingered his hilt.

Violet's feeling of innocence faded as she studied his eyes. She couldn't help but feel and smell the sense of fear Hayate had. But she understood it. She wouldn't be taking such a thing so easily herself. The disappointment of not having a relaxed day never came. Violet placed a hand on the hilt of her own sword. She was nervous herself, but she didn't play with the hilt. Instead, she gripped it tightly. She knew they would eventually have to speak to the Hokage. "Okay." She said in her businesslike tone, but it shook a little, "Have you eaten yet at least? I hope you did. We should head straight over there at this point. But...this could take awhile." She then said.

"I'm ready." He spoke softly. In truth, he hadn't eaten, but he figured he wouldn't be able to if he tried. He'd feast later. He put his hand over Violet's shoulder and walked with her to the Hokage's office. He knocked on the door, and Shizune answered.
((I don't know, nor do I care who has Shizune, so I'll just play her part atm.))
"Oh! Hayate! Violet! What a surprise! I'm afraid Lady Tsunade isn't able to take visitors right no-"
Hayate ignored her, and walked right on passed to the Hokage's table.

Kanetsu took a deep breath of fresh air as she walked through the training areas of Konoha, with Kakashi walking next to her. The inhaled air was greatly welcomed; it was the first time she had been out of the apartment that day, and she always enjoyed the change in air. Being a ninja with heightened senses, she could easily smell the grass of the area she walked though. It reminded her that the current season was spring. It didn't take long for the two of them to reach their destination; the memorial stone. Engraved upon it were the many brave shinobi who had lost their lives fighting for Konoha. They included Obito Uchiha, the one whom Kakashi would spend much of his free time visiting every single day, making him late for many missions and meetings. Kanetsu went with him as much as she could; the times when they weren't separated by different missions. He would obviously go no matter what, late to the mission assigned for him or not, but she honestly really didn't like being late. It was something she always has tried to avoid since she was a child in the academy. However, Kanetsu knew Kakashi's lateness was an exception. When they arrived, she would always jump up into a tall tree; she had one that was specifically her favorite in that area. It was just right to sit in for a decent amount of time, and it was sturdy. She gave Kakashi all the time he needed for him to talk to Obito there, and never interrupted for anything. Kanetsu tried to make it like she wasn't even there.

Kai was very contemplative of the situations occurring, eyes opening he found himself staring up at the ceiling of his room. He sat up and slid out of bed, moving a glance to a large stone outside that he could see from out of his window. His advanced studies were coming along well but he knew that the steel touch technique was not ready yet. Kai moved into his kitchen and put on a pot of boiling water, it was time to eat. While the water set to boil, Kai went to his room to pick out his attire and stared washing up. By the time he finished washing his face his ears were triggered to the sound of a screaming whistle...the water was ready.
It didn't take long to get dressed, mostly because he was anxious to eat. Preparations were already made at his table out of sheer habit of setting everything up before bed. Taking the water from the stove he would move to his table and take a seat, applying the water to his three bowls of ramen. "Be grateful for what you have and show your thanks through your duty.", He chanted as he stirred the noodles up to allow them to soak up the water. He slid two pills into his mouth and began eating at a high speed yet clean fashion.
In five minutes he was finished, drinking down the broth from each bowl. His body felt at calm but it was only a prolong, his body would eventually crave strong amounts of protein, though the two protein pills would hold him over for now. Standing up, Kai quickly pulled his mask up over his mouth and walked outside. He stood before the large stone that he was staring at through his window before and glanced over the various holes that were put in it. Kai pointed his right index finger a it and pressed it against it's cold surface, his forearm flexed and he pressed that finger inside the stone with ease and held it in there.
"The steel touch technique is getting stronger but I still cant pierce steel just yet.", he said aloud to himself as he pulled his finger out of the stone. He did the same with each finger, the pinkys being the difficult part. When he finished up with his opposite hand a section of the stone fell apart and hit the ground. He turned his gaze to the sky looking up at the sun shining thin through the canopy of trees around him. The wind picked up spreading a cool breeze scented with natures perfume of leaves and grass.
Kai took a deep breath and started to head off to the Hokage's office. He leaped up and ran up a tree, reaching with two fingers extended he would hook his two fingers into a branch and swing himself up onto it with the grip of them alone. It was conditioning for the steel touch technique, the next step in his family martial arts of Hokuto Suichoken. His body made a barely audible thud from his landing, then moved quickly from branch to branch in a running stride. It wasnt a long way, Kai lived just outside of the village limits in a dojo founded by his family. His sister was away with their father on a trip so he had the entire grounds to himself for a week.
Kai dropped out of a tree landing in the main road leading to the front gates of the village. He walked by the guards who were lazing about in boredom and moved into the city. He still carried back-drift thoughts about the incident a few days ago and chose not to speak to the guards.

((I don't know if San is still getting on and if Squad 13 still exists...
Is maroon speech color taken?))
Caleb finished neatly folding his last shirt and putting it in his own dresser. He had just recently moved into Violet's house since he hated the academy beds and was tired of sleeping on benches. Hayate had decided not to hold practice for Squad 13 today. Caleb looked down to see what he was wearing and making sure it looked okay. No one was at the house/ so he didn't mind talking to himself, "Ehh... Denim goes with anything." He walked out of his room, feeling invigorated about this day: He was going to get sword. Caleb walked out of the house, money in hand for the weapon. He looked around but didn't see anyone he knew. He walked to the Sword Shop, and immediately saw a sword he wanted... But he didn't see the price tag. He looked at the shop owner, "I don't want to sound like a haggler, but could I get a deal for this?" The man looked at the sword, he price tag saying $230,"How much do you have?" Caleb counted his money, Umm... $190? The store owner shrugged, "I'll take it... It comes with a sheath too." Caleb smiled, "Thanks a lot!" Caleb walked a couple yards from the store and was reminded by his stomach of one thing: "I forgot money for breakfast...But where can I get some money?" He looked around and spotted someone familiar, "Hey Hayate!"

Violet turned to see Caleb. She shook her head at Caleb, basically saying don't bother Hayate right now. They didn't stop on their way, and thus barged into the Hokage's office... Violet made a silent apology to Shizune and a gesture that this was urgent.

Caleb hunched over pretending to being sad. He walked out of the area and looked around. He might as well practice with his new sword at the forest...
Caleb arrived at the forest and almost immediately came to a skinny tree. He unsheathed and brought his sword down on the tree... And missed. He looked at the tip of his sword which was now in the ground. "That was a warm-up..." He took up his sword again and swung sideways, and hit the tree. The sword chopped through the tree... Well, half of it. Caleb let go of the sword which remained in the tree. He pushed as hard as he could against the hilt of the sword, which finally gave and fell out. Caleb picked the sword up and brought it through the whole width of the tree, "Oh, so it's not the power... It's the speed."

"No." Came a voice from behind the young boy. "It's not the speed. It's the technique." Kenta. Kenta Hyuga. The boy come up the road without being seen, and now stood behind Caleb. "I'm not a sword-wielder, as very few Hyuga are, but I've watched them. Especially Hayate." He stood next to Caleb and faced a tree. Forming chakara around his hand, he flattened it so it "resembled" a blade. Moving slowly and gracefully, he cut diagonal across the tree, snapping it in half. "Different directions cut differently then others. Try to find the weak spot, and once you make contact, don't stop until you're through."

“What a waste” muttered the sitting form of Kenji Hiraga, resting his head on his hand. His flat jacket clung to his body, not exactly a sure fire protection against assaults, but good enough to deflect ranged attacks. After all, getting in close played into the bitter ninja’s plan. After all, he had already placed a Fuuin Bakkyo (White Tiger Seal) surrounding him, offering the protection of a tiger formed of chakra. Kenji just watched it as it walked around him, emotionlessly stalking non existent prey. “The one time I summon this thing, people aren’t going by to bother me,” the ninja continued, completely to himself.
There was a time he wasn’t so cold and distant, there was a time he was filled with warmth towards others and a determination to improve. However, ever since his training with Danzo, he found himself becoming jaded, unable to care about anything. He hated the man who had trained him, even thinking about killing his teacher on several occasions. However, because of the seal placed upon him, he knew this was impossible. Danzo would freeze him in place and kill him on the spot, and Kenji wasn’t ready to give his life away for nothing, no matter how much he complained about it.
The one thing he looked forward to was working with his Chuunin Yuudai. Despite the hard exterior the Jounin showed to the young boy, he was quite proud of him. It was very clear that Yuudai was a good kid, always with the right intention, even if he was confusing as all hell most of the time. Hell, Yuudai even had the ability to over power him if he ever got his chakra under control. That was the one thing Kenji wanted to see before he finally died, the kid he worked so hard with never have to worry about scarifying himself ever again.
And that was when he heard the sounds. Was children? Or teenagers? Eh, not like he cared, maybe if he stayed quiet they would leave.

Caleb looked at Kenta as he easily slashed through the tree. Caleb turned to another tree that was about the same width. He took his sword and slashed diagonally at it. As Kenta had said, this technique worked well. He turned to the other member of his squad, "Thanks. I saw Hayate and Violet go into the Hokage's office, so I thought something might be going on... Might as well practice in case something's up."

Tsunade spun around in her chair as soon as she heard the door open. She was focusing on making major decisions at the time for the village, or at least she was trying to. The Hokage sighed with irritation. Didn't I tell Shizune not to let anyone in right now?! She thought, distinctly remembering when she did tell her that. As soon as she saw the two young ninja, she had begun to raise her voice. "Hayate, Violet, what is the meaning of this?! You two better have a good reason for interrupting me when you went permitted to do so!" Tsunade scolded.

Violet stood unnerved by Lady Hokage's attitude. "Lady Tsunade!" She said firmly, "Hayate has something important that you need to know. Before it kills anyone." Violet said. "Though, Hayate didn't have to barge in." She then added, giving Hayate an I'll-deal-with-you-later look. She crossed her arms and stood near the door, which she made sure was closed.
"You know," Ruby said to Caleb from her hidden location. She had found the two genin while on her way back from her training. Alastr had already left for military purposes, "It takes more than just technique. Speed and power also play a role." She jumped down from her tree, promptly landing next to the two genin. "In case you didn't know, I'm Ruby Tatsu. An elite member of ANBU. Violet's older sister." She smiled a bit, but not much. She was a little easy going on younger people when it came to her calm, quiet, introverted personality. Plus, she had promised herself that she'd be more social. In all reality, she just wanted to loosen up a bit and be more of a normal person, rather than being in an ANBU sort of attitude. She then unsheathed one of her swords and swung sideways at the nearest tree, in the exact same fashion that Caleb had done, and succeeded. "And it also depends on your sword."
