As Kanetsu heard the first syllable of her name being called, she almost instinctively knew that it was time to leave. She stepped up from her rough-but-comfortable-enough seat on the large bark structure to stretch her muscles out and only slightly yawning. It wasn't from boredom, but from a bit of sleepiness still in her system from that morning. Afterward, she did a front flip out of the tree, one that went just high enough where she could land right next to Kakashi, and continue walking with him. And it had been successful. Almost right when she got up from the flip, a messenger bird appeared in front of the two.
Tsunade looked at the two seriously. "It's a long story...but I guess you two won't leave me alone until I tell you at least the main points of it." She sighed, folding her hands under her chin. "This curse Hayate has...it's way more dangerous than you think. There have been some reports of mysterious activity inside of the Land of Fire. It hasn't been relatively close to Konoha, but ever since the situation with the Zetsumei ended, the activity keeps getting closer and closer to the village. I knew it must have been something to do with Ikijigoku, but I wasn't exactly sure what." She explained. "Now that I know he gave you that curse...it was just as I thought. You're curse; it's leading an awakened one here. That's why I compiled a list of our village's most advanced ninja for a very important S-Rank mission." Tsunade redirected all her attention on Violet. "The reason you are staying is because he can lose it at any time with that kind of chakra mixed with his. And if he does, you'd probably be the only one who could stop him, because you can connect with him on such a level."

Hayate kept his snarl, but it was silent. Only a facial mask. "So who are these ninjas you're sending out? Are they all at least Jonin?" He was fingering his sword again, and almost seemed as if he were about to pull it out.

Caleb walked slower to wait for Ruby, "Well, the most he could do is hurt me... He wouldn't go to easily in the village if he killed a child who threw him a note..." He began kicking a pebble along the road, "Anyways, it'd probably be better out of this world than in it... But I don't wanna think about it... You still okay buying me breakfast?"

Kenji didn’t even flinch as Kai moved behind him, feeling the hand on his shoulder. He could tell almost immediately that this man was used to taijutsu from his grip on Kenji’s shoulder, Though Kenji was more than sure he would be able to fend him off, he didn’t like being so close to a taijutsu user. He had taken blows from the likes from some of the best taijutsu users, and he wasn’t looking forward to breaking another rib. He knew the man was fast, but he would be more than able to neutralize that if he could put some distance between him, if it came to blows.
Besides, it wasn’t like he had his heart dead set on hurting people. He was going to yell, rant, threaten, and be an all round boy thingy so they would all shut up. He was ready to use techniques, but they were going to be more for affect than anything. After all, they were just kids, even if one of them was an ANBU, he knew how it would reflect upon him if he seriously injured a child. No, scolding and arguing was all he had planned in store of them. They were only annoying him after all…
Did that brat just throw a kunai at him? There was no way in hell Kenji was about to let some brat get away with that. He could feel his muscle tense up as he got angrier and angrier. “You might want to let go of me,” he said to Kai, using his regular speaking voice, “otherwise you may get hurt when I break that brat in two.” Kenji was already formulating a plan to break away from Kai, already assuming that he wasn’t just about to let he go run rampant at the child who had managed to anger him so. He was going to have to avoid using some techniques by Danzo’s orders, but he would manage without them.

"Hmm...what's this?" Kakashi said, catching the bird and pulling the message from him. He read the note, "The Hokage wants us in her office. Now," He said, with a now serious tone, "It's urgent." He looked at Kanetsu. The look in his eyes was one of worry. Almost saying that he would have rather not had this day ruined. After all, he had something planned.
"Well of course they're at least jounin. She just said, 'our village's most advanced ninja.' But...an awakened one? I can't really press you for details at this point...but if you can...tell us more? If not, forget it..." She said, looking down. She thought about what Tsunade had said about being able to connect with Hayate. She let out a silent sigh, and looked at Hayate again. She was worried for him. Perhaps that...thing could engulf and kill him. Even before she had a chance to save him...the thought of losing him made her sick.
"Yeah, of course I am!" Ruby said, holding a smile on her face. It was rather light, but warm. Ruby was already making a new friend, even though she had already dubbed him a knucklehead like she had dubbed Naruto. Ruby and Caleb were stopped short. A bird had dropped Ruby a note, and she read it out. "Oh man...I've gotta get to the Hokage's office, pronto. Sorry Caleb. Here, take this," she said, handing him a bit of cash, "enjoy what you want!" She had handed him quite a bit of cash. She unsheathed Caleb's sword, and ran her finger down the center, muttering some words. She swung it through empty air, and then sheathed it. "It's better now. Balanced, sharpened, and streamlined. Go slice up an army," she said, handing it over. After doing so, she had already disappeared without waiting for any sort of response.
A bird had flew over to Kenji, fluttering over his head. It carried a note with his name clearly written on it. It cawed at him, and dropped the note to him, doing so without seeing if he would catch it or not. But it was hard to miss the note. The bird flew off.

His words alarmed Kai but no hints of facial reaction were shown in his eyes, instead he acted as the guardian that he was and decided to neutralize the situation right away. Kai was already gripped onto his shoulder, lightly as it may have been. That slight amount of contact at that close of range was enough to execute a single blow to end this charade with enough speed. At this range, regardless of how much planning may have been going on in the man's mind he wouldn't have the reaction to evade the strike....because Kai already had his thumb resting over the pressure point, he just hadn't flexed yet. Kai without warning moved his thumb with a flash of point blank speed and jammed it deep into the side of Kenji's neck, striking the pressure point known as Kisha(see profile). This very pressure point causes full body paralysis through a nerve connected to the spine. Kai sent a short burst of chakra through his thumb into that nerve to hold the paralysis in place and removed his hand. " To take the life of a child who knows no better is the will of a man worth no more than filth.", Kai said as he turned to step in front of him. Hokuto Suichouken: Kisha " I stand flattered that you believe a man of your arrogant stature could talk threats of pain with the hand of a Taijutsu user already touching you.", Kai frowned and leaned in closer, his forehead seemed to instantly mutate to show his family's Kekkei Genkai. His forehead created a black circle then a red symbol drew itself upon the black circle. Veins bulged through his temples and his gray eyes dilated the the widest extent before his irises took the shape of skulls and shrunk back into the shape of thin pupils. This was the Kekkei Genkai known as Oniketsueki, Kai was no ordinary Taijutsu practitioner. " Allow me to introduce myself, I am Kai Nanakase of the clan Nanakase. Jounin, and protector of this village you don't seem to give two poops about. They also call me....The Steel Touch.", He spoke in a calm professional manner.

Seeing the worrying look in his eyes, Kanetsu frowned. They must have been thinking the same thing, since the word 'urgent' usually meant a very difficult high rank mission. It was amazing how a normal day could suddenly turn into something like that, but it didn't surprise her that much. She'd been called upon many times in the past for the same kind of missions, especially in ANBU. Still, it didn't thrill her to see that look; it actually stung her heart a bit. She hated to see anything bother him. If something was bugging him, then it would surely bug her just as much, maybe even more. No one else would see if something bothered him; he was always enigmatic, and could disguise his emotions expertly. "We had better get going then..." The Kunoichi responded with her usual soft voice. Without a second to spare, she jumped into the nearest tree, and allowed time for Kakashi to jump into the tree as well.
Tsunade expected most of the shinobi to arrive at any minute. Well, except for Kakashi. He'd probably be late again. "I can't tell you anymore right now. It'd be too time consuming, and we have an emergency on our hands. The shinobi I requested should be here any minute now, and I need to explain to them their mission." She explained quickly. "Violet...whatever you do, do not allow Hayate to make contact with it.

Caleb was Kenji coming to as he heard 'Snap him in two.' He turned around, a little tired, and grumpy from lack of food, "Look, I have to get going. I know you would hurt me cuz..." He muttered something, and the ground directly beneath Kenji began softening into a marsh. He waited til Kenji would have enough time to sink, and released the jutsu to have him stuck, "...Anyways, I'm hungry. Goodbye." Caleb didn't even look back, and walked in the direction of the noodle shop. He thought he might have gone a little too far, so he walked a little faster than usual. He didn't have time to say goodbye to Ruby, but he expected to see her again if she had to leave as well... He did accept the sword again, and it was indeed a bit more balanced. He was almost at the noodle shop, and he knew Ichiraku wouldn't let fighting near his restaurant.

Kenta had been watching the two Jonin go at it. It seemed neither of them had noticed the note. While the big one, Kai, he said his name was, had the bastard in a grip, he figured it would be safe to move. He moved slowly and carefully, enough so that Kai did not mistake him for a threat. He strolled over to the note on the ground, and picked it up. Reading it, he frowned. "Hokage's office... Now." He looked the one called Kai in the eyes. "Should we let him go? Or should we apply some... replacements?"

Kenji let out a little chuckle as this man spoke with that weird philosophical style he was so used to hearing from his Chuunin. He found it endearing when Yuudai used it, but here it was just plan silly. This man here was as least several years his junior and was talking like he was wise and all knowing. This man knew nothing, as proven by comments of arrogance. This man had no idea what Kenji had to do to get where he was, how many of his friends he had to slaughter in order to please Danzo. He became the best because he was able to survive, to beat people who thought they had won. This man could call him filth all he wanted, but he had no idea, no sense of how just Kenji was. Especially since he wasn’t planning on killing the child, just crippling him.
And then introduced himself, and Kenji couldn’t help but laugh, which was surely offsetting. After all, Kai had to thought he had won, This was perfect, just perfect. Yuudai had spoken of this man, who he had referred to as proud and strong, worthy of protecting this village. Kenji had in truth wanted to test this, mostly because Yuudai rarely spoke highly of anyone. He wanted this village to have strong protectors as much as the next person, to weed out the weak so the village would be able to save itself when attacked. This was all just too perfect. “Kai huh?” he said as if he was on familiar terms with him, “the way Yuudai spoke of you made you out to be more competent.”
Then Kenji heard the young Genin speak, which cause him to sigh. Suddenly, the clone of Kenji in front of Kai dissipated, the chakra lingering there for mere moments before Kenji walked back out onto the path. “Did you really think I would just waltz out into the open?” Kenji questioned the Jounin in front of him, “that is how people get themselves killed.” He shook his head, almost as if he was disappointed with him. “Whatever,” he added, still a little annoyed, “seem according to the brat I have to go see the old bat, I will deal with the pests later.” He began to walk past Kai, but suddenly stopped, turning to face him, “by the way, since it seems you aren’t busy, you might want to walk back to where I was and deal with the seals. Wouldn’t want some stupid Genin to get mauled now, would we?” And with that he tucked his hands into his pockets and began to head toward the Hokage office. Sure, he wasn’t exactly racing there, but she could wait for him.

Caleb shrugged his shoulders, but was actually very relieved. For a moment, Caleb really thought Kenji would kill him. he made it to Ichikaru's and sat down. He looked over his shoulder to make sure Kenji wasn't just trying to pull a fast one on him. He turned back to the person at the front of the restaurant, "Man, there's gotta be something going on if they invite that idiot... I think his name is Kenji... He looked back up to see the waiter, who seemed to think Caleb was muttering. Caleb glanced at the menu then back at the waiter, "Just a medium bowl, please."

Without hesitation, Kakashi jumped into the tree, nodded at Kanetsu, and headed off. Knowing his love was with him, within a few minutes, they had made way to the Hokage's building. Alastr was there. "Greetings! Did the Hokage call you in?" Kakashi asked, hoping for a bit more of an explanation on what was going on. Alastr looked over, a bit surprised, at Kakashi. He simply nodded. "It seems that she's called over specific jounin. I don't know why though," he said, making an acknowledging nod to Kanetsu, and he waved. "I see..." Kakashi muttered, and he looked at Kanetsu, "I hope we're about to find out," he told her. A few seconds later, a femal voice had shouted out. "Kanetsu!" it was Ruby's voice, "So nice to see our queen of extreme again," she had lowered her voice as she stood beside Kanetsu. Ruby held a grin, something only few people would get out of her. In all reality, Ruby wanted to be best friends with Kanetsu. After all, they had previously shared the same hatred for the monsters, Ikijigoku, Burakku, and the Zetsumei's. Both were in ANBU, and both went through the same losses, as far as Kanetsu's ties with the Tatsu clan went. It was true that they were a few years apart, six, but Ruby still wanted someone like Kanetsu to be by her side. *** Violet nodded. "Both you and Hayate have my word. For our village, my clan, and," she said clearly, but dropped down to a whisper, "for you, Hayate." She stepped back from the desk, and pulled Hayate with her. "The jounin will be here any moment," she stated, and pulled him off to the side. If the Hokage dismissed them, Violet was ready to leave without protest. But she stayed, in hopes that she would learn more.

Kenta was intrigued. He hated not knowing something, and this proposed the best mystery he would probably ever achieve. Remembering Caleb, he ran to Ichiraku's to find him. When he found him ordering, he grabbed his arm. "It'll have to wait. Come on! There's something going down at the Hokage's!" He didn't wait for an answer, and started running off in the direction of the Hokage's Building.

With Kai activating his kekkei genkai, he had enough speed and strength to make one clean movement and eliminate the real Kenji with minimal effort but decided to let it go. And as for cleaning up the tags? Kenji had a hard lesson coming his way, that he couldn't go around harming people of this village like that. Certain actions like that would be the fast track to execution and this was something he knew for a fact that Tsunade would not stand for. Kai had no intention on cleaning up after the man just because Kenji simply felt like he could do what he wanted, Kai left the seal there and when something should happen the Hokage would know who to sentence to death for it.
Such recklessness wouldn't be tolerated. Kai deactivated his kekkei genkai and went back to ichiraku to finish his meal, sitting down to find it still fresh and ready to be eaten. Kai closed his eyes and continued where he left off.

As the two jumped from branch to branch, roof to roof, Kanetsu took the time to admire Kakashi's movements. The poof of hair on his head swayed with each burst of wind. Although she looked at him, she was careful not to run straight into a tree branch. The moment was short lived, though, because they arrived quickly. It appeared that ninja were already there, because she soon saw Alastr there. She waved in response to his wave, while listening to what he told them. She turned to Kakashi when he began to speak to her. "I'm sure we'll know soon...if it is a big emergency, she won't keep us waiting." She told him, although she was curious too. About five seconds later, she heard the voice of someone else, this time a female one. "Hey Ruby." Kanetsu greeted, grinning a bit at the 'Queen of Extreme' comment. A minute or two after Ruby joined in, Kanetsu spotted purple hair out of the corner of her eye and knew exactly who it was. Her grin widened. "Hey, Kanetsu's here too? Now it's a party!" Anko exclaimed, meeting the group in the hallway in front of Tsunade's office. Of course it had to be a joke, because in all honesty, Kanetsu hated parties, as well as the games that went along with it. "You got summoned too, eh?" She asked her friend. "Yeah." Now that Anko was there, Kanetsu wondered who else would be arriving.
Tsunade looked at the two for a moment. She had depended on Violet to make sure Hayate didn't give in to the chakra, but it was his responsibility just as much as hers. He had to do everything he could to stay calm, and not leave the village. If he did...it'd probably be over. But, she trusted that they could do it. This was the next generation. "Well then...you are dismissed. Find somewhere secure and inclosed from the rest of the village until it is safe to come out." She instructed carefully.
