Kai heard the acceptance to enter after Alastr ran into him and started to scoot around him. Kai smiled with his eyes and patted the boy on the head to let him know that no harm was done and proceeded to enter seeing as the doors were now open. He moved to the center of the room and first gave her a formal bow to show his respect and his allegiance to Tsunade. "My Lady, I can only assume that you are up to your neck in business right now so I'll make this quick and blunt.", he said as to let her know that he was serious.

"I am aware that a lot is happening right now, one with bold enough senses can feel the disturbance in the air, but from what I do not know...and I assume that you do. As you know my service to you has gone without end and with your approval I would like to become a member of ANBU....and put to work on this issue. Ive trained my whole life for this and I feel that my skills are ready to move to the next level, I just need your approval.", he said with a relaxed stare indicating that he knew a lot more than he was telling.

San headed to her house and grabbed one of her mission bags. Quickly she packed dried foods and some spare clothes. Checking her vest she added a few water scrolls and a few fire scrolls. They were easy to activate and just awaited the releasing. Stretching she grabbed her extra pack of Kunai and shuriken. Sitting on her bed she wondered what was going to happen since they were supposed to hide. Sighing she grabbed her pack and strapped on her kunai holder and packed several exploding papers in it.

Kaiyou smiled at Caleb and payed for his bowl and hers. Apparently she had no averse to spending money since she got a large bowl for herself. Smiling she thanked Ichiraku then dug in. Wrapping a few noodles around her chopsticks, she ate them quickly. When her bowl was gone she grinned and looked at Caleb. "So when we gonna pass that test the guy wants to do?" There were no doubts in her mind that her teammates and her could pass the guy's test.

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb had finished his bowl a little bit earlier, considering that it was a smaller size. He took a napkin and dabbed his mouth to act polite, "I honestly don't know. If it's a pair thing, I'll go with you if that's okay. If you want to now, I'm ready." Caleb didn't feel like waiting for Kenta, and when he stretched, he remembered he had gotten a new sword. He tapped the sheath and continued talking, "Oh yeah: I got a new sword today. And also, the 'guy's' name is Kenji. He's a little crapsack, so don't get him too mad..."

[Hayate Mochiya]

Kenta walked in only after the two had finished. He ordered and paid by himself. Sitting down next to Caleb, he put one hand the boy's shoulder. "Trust me. There's something wrong with his chakara pattern. It's like he's been... sealed... somehow... I don't trust him, and as a team, I'm not sure we should hand ourselves over to him so easily..."


Hayate led Violet inside. He saw his Genin at the table, and quickly sat down far away. He ordered, and pulled out a large sack of gold. He knew he'd need it.

"Little crapsack? Try a big one. Bleh," Ruby said, appearing behind the three genin. She called over a cheef and ordered a large bowl of ramen, to go. After getting her order, she waved to the genin, "Well, you guys make sure you don't upset the crapsack, eh?"
With that, she walked off.

Violet noticed her sister coming into the stand, but she paid no notice. Instead, after hearing Hayate's order, she ordered a large bowl for herself. Nothing unexpected. She let out a huff of air.
"After this, I need to get to my house. I've gotta settle some business, since I'll be gone this time around. I don't know who I'll put in charge this time, but we should be fairly safe. Our people know how to fight," she said rather quietly. She then began eating, however, at a slower pace than usual. Though, it wasn't that she was hungry. She was sensing an unusally high prescense of the dark chakra Hayate held within him.

A smile could be seen through Kakashi's mask.
"Ready to go?" he asked, pulling away from her. He went over to water his plant, something he always made sure to do before leaving on a mission.

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

As Kai had told Tsunade what he had wanted to ask, she sighed a bit, trying to relax herself. Does he really have to ask this now? She wondered. In a situation like this, one would assume that becoming a higher rank wouldn't be that much of a problem right now.
Finally, she had made her decision, although it didn't take that long. Tsunade had no time to argue at a time like this, and additional higher ranking ninja wouldn't really damage anything, so...
"Fine, if you really think it'll help, then you will be a part of Konoha's ANBU. But, you must show why you are worthy to be in ANBU." She told him, trying to end the conversation quickly, but still getting the point across.




Kanetsu quickly recounted everything in her backpack and hip pouch, making sure she had all the supplies she would need. She finally stood up, and looked Kakashi in the eye. She nodded.
"Yes. Ready to leave when you are." She was being calm right now, knowing the seriousness of the situation, and knew panicking would just make everything worse. She walked towards the bedroom door, opening it, and waiting for him to follow, although he probably already was.

His eyes relaxed into a smile of gratitude, surely now that hes attained ANBU his father would have no choice but to teach him the final phases within his familiy art of Hokuto Suichoken. His father would have to forgive him for taking it so early, but it was already promised to Kai should he ever become worthy of ANBU....his father's oni mask. He already knew that asking at a time like this would force the decision in his favor, his intellect always served him well in that standpoint. Kai pulled out a red oni mask from behind his back and rotated it between both palms in a double spin an placed it upon his face.

Kai stood up tall and held up one hand in the position of Half Tiger, and a brief puff of smoke flashed over his body to reveal that his clothes were just a preset illusion...

...When the flash cleared he stood in his new uniform that he had prepped for the day he should become promoted to ANBU, just masking it previously as a mild slide of humor to let her knew that he knew she would say yes at a time like this. A silver and gray vest overlap, no sleeves revealing tribal clan tattoo/scarification, baggy silver gi bottoms, and standard black tabi boots. His opposite hand closed in and made two separate half signs, then collapsed his fingers to align tattoos which made up the Oniketsueki symbol that appears on his forehead when activating his kekkei genkai. Kai dropped onto one knee and held the hand tattoos in her direction in the form of a bow to let her know that the Nanakase Clan member was ready to serve his purpose.

Then he opened his eyes in a stone cold manner through the eyes of his mask and spoke, but his voice was different...changed. It carried a back echo with a lot of bass behind his voice. "Of course, my Lady Tsunade...just tell me what needs to be done, Hokage.", he spoke with a killer's edge in his tone. This was a very proud day for Kai, a Nanakase had just been reborn an ANBU like his retired father before him.

Caleb shrugged at Kenta, "Well, it couldn't really hurt just to find out what he wants." He started walking slowly out of the shop and down the road so they could easily catch up. He saw the rest of the group in the distance, but didn't hurry.

Yamato made the final adjustments on the straps of his arm guards of his ANBU uniform. Damn... Yamato thought. He was sitting in his apartment, preparing for whatever was in store. He had received word from the Hokage recently that he was going to be assigned a mission. He didnt know any details as to what the mission held, or who he would be working with. However, none of that mattered. But he did know that this was going to be a challenging mission, so he was dressed for the occasion. He was wearing the near entirety of his ANBU uniform, missing only the grey vest and his mask. They were each replaced by his green jounin tactical vest and his faceplate with the leaf symbol respectively. Standing up, he strode over to his dresser and picked up his sword.

He stared at it for about a minute before he strapped it over his back and around his shoulders. Shaking his head, he swallowed as he loaded his hip pouch and thigh holster with shuriken and kunai. He picked up a double-ended kunai as well as his wallet and tracking seeds for back-ups in case he needed any of them. It was rare that he needed his double-ended kunai, but he was packing for the unexpected.

Making his way to the window, he slid it open and concentrated chakra into his feet as he stood on the vertical side of his apartment building while he shut the window. He knew he was late, and he was sort of biting his lip because of that. I have to hurry... he thought, somewhat frustrated that he was late for Tsunade-sama's briefing of the mission. Leaping across rooftops, he made his way carefully to the Hokage building beneath the mountains. He looked at the building until he remembered precisely which windows belonged to Tsunade's office itself. Sure, it was not the most appropriate way to make an entrance, but he'd done it before.

Slipping down to the window on the right side of her office, he placed his feet on the small balcony outside of the window and faced the city as he knocked on the window. She could probably recognize him from the back, but after his knock he glanced back at the Hokage while he waited for a response. He knew she would probably displeased for his late arrival, but it was a rare thing that he was late. He hoped that would be enough for her to ignore the fact of his tardiness today.

Undoubtedly, Kakashi was right there. Accepting the right of way, he passed by Kanetsu, but quickly took the door, and pulled her out of the room gently by her hand. He had pulled her a bit too far: she had bumped into him, and they were now face to face.
"Sorry 'bout that," he said, kissing her lips, and then moving to the side to close the door. Once it was locked, he took Kanetsu's hand.
"Where d'you suppose we'll all be meeting?" Kakashi questioned as they made it outside, "The Hokage never specified anywhere."

[;; HYUUGA KANETSU ?!]

Tsunade looked on at the newly-appointed ANBU, already having an idea in her mind about what to assign him to.
"Your mission is one that has been assigned to many other ANBU; hide yourself anywhere around the perimeter of the village. This part of the mission is unique to you; once you sense enemy ninja activity, report it immediately back to me. Then return and help fight of any ninja you can." She directed.
Soon after her explanation, Tsunade sensed another ninja's presence. She sighed somewhat angrily. You're late, Tenzo... The Hokage thought. She knew it was a rarity for him to be late (usually Kakashi was the one who was late), but still, it was a really bad time for that. However, she knew she had no time for scolding, and she got up to open the window. "Go meet the rest of your unit at the gates of Konoha. Be packed, it's unknown how long you will be away. They will explain everything, right now there is no time." She told him, her voice sounding a bit angry, which was probably noticeable by Yamato.



As she bumped into him and was kissed, her face lit up with a light shade of red. But it soon went away once she heard him ask the question about the mission. She took a second to think, but soon followed up by saying,
"Konoha's gate. We have to leave immediately, so what better place to meet up then there? It allows us to spread out easier as well." She was pretty sure about the location, and she knew that they all had to depart as soon as possible.

After hearing her orders he only nodded as he contemplated a place to hide. That part would be easy to say the least, his attention turned toward the window as another ANBU entered, Yamato...he had only seen the man a few times and knew very little about him, perhaps it was for the best but he had a feeling that with his new promotion that would change soon enough. He heard the Lady Hokage speak about him being late and chose not to listen any further. A burst of smoke flashed around his body and he was gone...

Kaiyou looked at Kenta and listened then took that into consideration. "Well we can see what he wants if only to prove were not scaredy cats." Hopping off her stool she checked to make sure she had everything then followed after Caleb. "If its something that would kill us then we'll just walk away. Its simple at that. Then we need to get ready to meet everyone at the gates." Then a thought struck her. "What if he is only doing this to make us late in meeting everyone?"

San double checked everything she had then walked out her door locking it behind her. Scratching her head she headed toward the gates. A most probable place to meet everyone. Grabbing her headband she tucked it into her bag knowing if they were supposed to be hiding she might as well look like someone who was going camping. Arriving at the gates she waited for the rest to show up.

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb stopped too, "Actually, you could be right..." He turned and could no longer see anyone where they were going. They might not even have enough time to catch up at the moment, "Well, if we can't decide now, we better decide on the way. We'll only have a little bit of time to catch up to everyone. But I vote no to the mission. Besides, why would we need to prove ourselves to him?" He kept getting more and more worried they were falling too far back, "We probably need to head over in the next minute."

[Hayate Mochiya]

Kenta nodded. "Let's just head down there. If it's important enough, he'll come to us."


Hayate suddenly let out a howl. The only ones left in the restraunt were Violet, Hayate, and those who worked there. Hayate's head burned like fire. In a pace of mad frenzy, he swept his bowl off the table.
