Squad 13's First Training (open)

[Hayate Mochiya]

((Squad 13's First Training is a continuation of the 2nd plot, a little over a month after the invasion ended. This mainly for San (Kaiyou), Hayate, and Caleb, though is open to anyone.))


The three ninja had arrived at the training grounds. Hayate pulled a headband out of his pack, and handed it to Kaiyou. "You're a Genin now. You've definately earned this." He took a few steps backwards. "Tsunade has assigned us to be a three man cell, until we can get another graduate. From this day forth, we're to be known as Sqaud 13." He then pulled something else out of his pack. A single bell. "I was talking with Kakashi the other day, and he recommended this strategy of training to start you both off. On my belt I have tied one bell. Your goal is to find me, fight me, and take my bell. If you get the bell, you win. We start when I say go."

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb's eyes widened, "Oh no... Naruto told me about this..." He grinned, "But i plan to be a better ninja than him." He looked down, and giggled a little bit, "Just please don't stick your finger up my butt." Caleb still had some stitches on his stomach where he had been stabbed, so he couldn't fully bend backwards. He hoped he wouldn't have to.

Kaiyou looked at Hayate and smiled, "Thank you!" Taking her headband she tied it to her belt and listened to what the first training session was. Looking at the bell she memorized and looked to Caleb. No one had told her anything about bells. But it was shiny. Her stomach growled from being so excited today she had barely eaten when she was getting her stuff together. So grabbing the apple out of her syuriken pouch she bit into it and went through her mind about what she knew on strategies.

San sat on a branch watching them remembering what she had heard about Kakashi's group. This had been their first test. Testing how they worked as a group not as individuals. This might be interesting cause she had been there when Kaiyou had been found. She had been so little then, but now she was growing up.

[Hayate Mochiya]

A shadow moved in the bushes behind Hayate. He didn't need to turn. He had sensed the person come from a mile away. "Who are you?" Hayate called.

A boy, about the age of eleven came out of the bushes, a Byakugan activated. "You're Hayate right?" The boy said as he deactivated his Byakugan. "My name is Kenta Hyuuga. Tsunade told me to find you. I'm your squades third Genin."


Hayate smiled at these words. "Perfect. Well in that case... Kenta, this is Kaiyou and Caleb, you've probably met at some point in the academy." Without waiting more than a few seconds, he added, "I'm sure you're familiar with Kakashi's first training right?" Kenta nodded, and Hayate took three steps backward. "You can start when I say go. Ready... GO!"

There was a figure hidden in the bushes watching the four people in action. The sun's rays fell on the trees above her location making a shadowy cover for her that added with the bush's. She noticed one of them had an apple and began to wonder when the last time she ate. She took out a ration bar from a pouch on her and began eating it while watching. She didn't know how training went when shinobi were actually in the lands were they came.

This figure hidden in the bushes was named Lidochka Dmitriy from the Land of Iron. She was randomly wandering around the lands until she found herself in the middle of this place. She fell asleep the night before here and didn't expect to see some ninja training. She was lucky. After finishing her ration, she heard the tallest of the ninja yell 'Go' which brought her attention to the action.

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb immediately disappeared into a tree a distance away from Hayate. He was going to let Kaiyou strike first to see his tactics. "But where's the fun in that?" He whispered, "Swamp Ground jutsu." The ground in the area everyone was in started to sink. After a while, he stopped the jutsu, and the ground hardened immediately, hopefully trapping Hayate. The bushes that had moved earlier were completely underground, but Caleb didn't notice. Instead, he threw a kunai, which headed strait the string the bell was on. He hoped to pin it to a tree behind his teacher. He dashed towards the tree where he hoped for the bell to end up at.

[Hayate Mochiya]

The "bell", actually turned out to be a flash bomb, and "Hayate" a clone. "Nice move Caleb." Hayate's voice teased. "You immobilised your teamates right off the get-go." The voice rang all over the training grounds. "Catch me if you can."

Kaiyou smiled at Kenta. "Nice to meet you." Kaiyou took a step back as Hayate said go. Taking another bite of her apple she felt the earth become a swamp and was sucked do. The she poof-ed and yelled out, "Caleb we need to work as a team!!!" Knowing she gave her position away she moved from the tree she had been hiding in and moved quickly in several circles before conjuring up a shadow clone and sending her in a random direction while she stay put to watch and learn. She and Caleb needed to find a weakness before they attacked like he just did. Seriously did that mean he was the Naruto of the group?

San glanced around as the ground became a swamp area. Strong. She noticed the new comer and blinked. Oh this team was turning into either another team seven or another Neji team. that would be impressive. But with what Caleb just did she had a feeling they would turn into another team 7. "Hayate since their are three shouldn't you have two bells?" San yelled form her perch in the tree. Activating her Sharingan she watched the Justus and judged the strengths. Glancing at a bush she knew someone else was there. But friend or foe?

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb shook his head. It was his way to check Hayate's weakness. But he couldn't find any in a indirect-direct attack. He disappeared back into the trees again. He looked down, and saw Hayate. Probably a clone... He disappeared into another tree letting Kaiyou have a chance to attack.

((Sharingan can let you see through things too like the Byakugan?))

The woman hiding in the bushes watched as the first kid disappeared into a tree away from whom she expected to be the teacher. She then saw the girl poof and wondered what was going on until the ground around her got soft and she started sinking. She was familiar with shinobi attacks using chakra and sighed. When she began to sink, she quickly grabbed the tree she was close to and pulled. When the ground hardened, her feet was the only thing underground. She began digging.

She heard the teachers voice as she got out of the trap and then she hid inside the tree that saved her from sinking into the ground. Her mind began to think about ninja and the fact that they used such techniques. She started to view what was happening again after she was sure that no one could physically see her. Or so she thought. She decided that she'd be more aware of her surroundings just in case another student used something with an area of effect.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Hayate appeared behind San. "I am. When they weren't looking I added one more. I don't want them to catch on." He sighed. "I think I may just use my Hirogan..." He activated his Doujutsu and took surveilence of the entire field. "Hmm... Keep an eye on our Land of Iron visitor will you San?" Without waiting for an answer, he disappeared into the shadows.


Kenta looked around. "Smooth Caleb..." He breathed. He hadn't sunk too deep, because he had been mid jump when the jutsu was activated, so he was able to break out relatively easily. "Byakugan!" He said, causing his veins around his eyes to become much more strained. He looked around. "Kaiyou. He's about one hundred meters south of us. Be careful, because he may use more clones."

[San™]

Ooc; Not in the sense you think. It just lets you see people and through clones and copy most jutsus. Think back to when Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kabuto were in the forest of death.

Kaiyou glanced around and thought about it. If she were Hayate what would be his weakness. She thought back to a month ago. Violet is his weakness. But first they had to find the right Hayate. She knew the tranformation and shadow clone but he would probably see through that if he had his Doujutsu activated. What could she do beside get rid of all the shadow clones. Her hands flipped through signs and several flowers popped up all over from the ground. Listening to Kenta she knew she could get close to every clone with out giving her position away. Soon the flowers were spread everywhere. Then a huge gust of wind hit them and the petal grew sharp and flew up into the air heading south. It was still a very knew jutsu so she wasn't sure how long she could actually hold it yet. When she found Hayate she attempted to hit him with the Petal Hurricane.

San smiled slightly at him. Of course one they found out their was two they wouldn't try so hard. So she knew what he was saying. Maybe she should try for Jonin soon. She wouldn't mind having a squad like this one. "Don't worry I will. And becareful, Kaiyou is a smart kid and learns the longer things take."

[Hayate Mochiya]

((Just saying, before we start the posting order, maybe it should be me posting after everyone, just because Hayate's sorta has to react to everyone's move, before reacting to someone else's. I'll post as Kenta in his turn only though.))

Hayate, not even trying to conceal his position (due to Kenta's Byakugan), saw the petals coming. "This must be Kaiyou's." Hayate muttered. He formed a few handseals and the petals once again become dull. "It couldn't be Caleb's. I just taught him a flower jutsu, and he definately wasn't paying attention." He sighed. "I guess before we started I should've told them a little more about myself... Oh well. They'll figure out eventually I was from the Land of Greens..."

Learns the longer things takes... Hayate thought. Caleb's one to act without thinking. Kenta seems like the type to get into a fight and really work with his team. He sighed. Where's Kakashi when I need him? This is Team 7... only the girl can do jutsu...


"I forgot to add something!" Hayate's voice sounded from a clone coming from the North. "You only have until Noon to get a bell!"

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb followed the petals to Hayate's position, and heard what he had said, "Duh! He uses Grass Jutsu! How did I forget that?" He thought about it for a little bit, but not too long so he could go somewhere else. He landed next to Hayate, "Chaos Control Jutsu!" Everything within 20 feet slowed down, almost stopping. Caleb shot a grab for all three bells. If this worked, he wouldn't keep it for himself...

[Hayate Mochiya]

((Sonic freak...))

"You've GOT to be kidding me." Hayate mumbled. His Hirogan had him shift instantly into the shadows, despite the slowed time. "Nice try..." He called, from the north at his new position. "Let's see if I can't fool the Byakugan..." He said, as he turned him, and his clones to shadow.


Kenta grunted. "I can't tell where he is now. His body is cloaked, and my Byakugan isn't developed enough. Hey you!" He called up the tree that San was in. "You've got Sharingan correct? Feel like giving us a hint?"
