Squad 13's First Training (open)

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb not only had to dodge Hayate's kunai, but also the storm of kunai. He looked Kenta, "It's only lunch, not a life or death" He walked past him, "Dude, it's all yours. I'm the fat one. I can definitely survive without a meal. Go for it."

[Hayate Mochiya]

Hayate chuckled. "If you don't decide..." He smirked. "I might just have to kill you."

Kenta ran behind Caleb and Kaiyou, pushing them into the bells. "We don't know what else he might throw at us." Both kids were almost forced into picking up a bell.


Hayate smiled again. "Well done Kenta. Binding Jutsu!" Kenta was instantly tied up to the middle log. "To be honest with you all, I truely thought that Caleb would be on that log. Now. Here Kaiyou and Caleb, have some lunch." He turned to Caleb. "By the way... From now on, when you use Shadow Clones, I don't want you to use any chakara. Use them for distraction and diversion ONLY! That way the chakara used won't waste you, and you'll get your chakara back. If you find it too tempting, I can always put a seal on you."

Lidochka waited patiently for the lunch to happen. She watched the events unfold that led to the person being tied to the log and laughed a little. She was beginning to think that shinobi were silly in some ways. When the teacher told the students to not use chakra while using shadow clones, she agreed that would be a useful thing to do.

She got a little piece of ration out from her backpack and then started to eat. She was sure she was learning something from watching the shinobi.

[Okato Ikamatsu]

Caleb couldn't help but talk back, "I didn't, I just kicked you with the shadow clone." He sighed, "Oh, all right..." He accepted the meal and sat down next to a tree trunk. He actually wasn't that hungry. That's why he was wanting Kenta to have lunch. He took a bite, and almost spit it back out. The meal wasn't even that good. "Don't worry Kenta, you're not missing anything good..."

[Hayate Mochiya]

"Good. You can tell Ichiraku next time you order ramen. It's probably cold." Hayate formed a few handseals, and using a very small fireball jutsu he heated up both bowls of ramen. "I'll be back in a few minutes. Remember, no sharing. We'll continue our bell training when we get back." He disapeared in a puff of smoke.


Hayate looked at the Memorial Stone. He read off a few names. Hayate Gekko... Obito Uchiha... "Rest in peace." Obito had died when Hayate had still lived in the Land of Greens, but Kakashi had told him all about Obito during Hayate's Genin days. Hayate had known Gekko quite well, and was still sad that the man had died by someone who is now an ally.

Kaiyou looked at Kenta then her own food. She wasn't hungry now. She had eaten her apple before training so she didn't need it. Looking at Kenta she wondered how hungry he really was. Looking around for Hayate she scooched closer to Kenta. Running the idea through her mind she looked around for Hayate again. She could feed him hers till Hayate got back then quickly move away. And thanks to his advice she could make Shadow clones as a diversion. Maybe Maybe. The thoughtfull look stayed on her face as she looked toward Kenta. "Are you sure you ain't hungry?"

[Hayate Mochiya]

"It's fine..." Kenta lied. "You eat. You'll need your strength." Unfortunately for his fib, his stomach growled quite loudly right then.

Kaiyou blinked and looked around for Hayate. Then standing up she stood directly infront of Kenta. Glancing around once more she stuffed a bit into his mouth. "Well I guess your stomach has spoken!" Grinning she looked around then watched him.

Lidochka was getting bored watching the shinobi eat. She wanted something to happen. She drew her sword and began to sharpen it using a whetstone. The sounds of sharpening steel could be heard just a little bit away as she worked on it. It glistened in the sun as she held it up to the sunlight. It was a handmade one from the Land of Iron. She kept her eyes on the shinobi as she worked.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Kenta, in between bites, thanked Kaiyou. "Not too much." He said. "You need your strength too."


In a flash of smoke, Hayate was behind Lidochka. "You're no shinobi correct?" He challenged. "State your buisiness in Konoha."

Kaiyou smiled at him and just said, "You probably didn't see me eating the apple earlier. Besides I have another apple in my pouch." She fed him another bite and made sure to check for Hayate. "Well Anyways when was the last time you ate?"

[Hayate Mochiya]

"It's been a while..." Kenta groaned. "That's fine. I'll make it to dinner." He sighed. "If I could just reach my holster I could cut my way through the ropes and get free. Then we could get the jump on Hayate."

Lidochka was in the middle of sharpening her blade when a puff of smoke appeared from behind her. Her samurai 6th sense alerted her immediatly from just the poof. She had her blade pointed towards the shinobi before she could even see him. Once the smoke cleared, she answered the ninja.

"Um...I'm just some random wanderer. I was just wandering around when I saw you training your students. I started to watch and learn."

She sheathed her blade and then looked at the shinobi's students.

Kaiyou grinned and stuffed another bite in his mouth just for good measures then almost unnoticed she dropped her hand and handed him a kunai. Turning around she headed to a nicely size rock a few yards away and sat ontop of it.

[Hayate Mochiya]

Kenta cut through most of the ropes, but left them barely intact, so that he could tear them apart when Hayate came. "Thanks." He nodded.


Hayate smirked. "Wanderer huh? You're obviously no shinobi, nor are you some helpless wanderer. A wonderer would have never seen me coming. You're trained. What are you?"
